c2mojo yes you can run shorts & T's. Remember to all PCA guys, cotton long sleeves and cotton long pants have never stopped one from getting 3rd degree burns.....
Neither has a full flame suit, the point is to buy time to get out while you still have skin left. Even here in AZ, long pants and shirts are required (though the DE chairman is allowed to bend that rule depending on the temperature). My opinion, with a cool shirt on there's no reason not to opt for the extra protection.
It is a cool suit cooler, it holds ice and water that is pumped through the shirt I am wearing. Its good and cold. Cooler is oversized to help w/ Fl in July & August.

Cooler contains: Sandwich meat, mustard, cold beer, american cheese, wonder bread.
