  • Shes gorgeous.

My pekin bantam just went broody actually, she has four little light sussex chicks now, she is a good mother! And your Rhode Island Red looks in amazing condition and very laid back, my Pekin went crazy when i went near her, lol!

  • I have one just like her her name is the baby

  • So are Rhode Island Red hens good at sitting? Because I got some Delaware hens and a rooster and I know the eggs are fertile because I see him mate with them a lot but they never sit on their eggs. They are very active.

  • has she had the chicks come out yet?

  • How sweet! she is friendly and all! She seems so happy hartching those eggs!

  • did they hatch??

I heard that RIRs don't brood. I guess some do..

  • No rooster in my coop. These were duck eggs from a park nearby. They did not hatch.

  • taking ducks eggs aint right at all mate , you can buy fertile eggs if you wanted to let your hen hatch some eggs ..

  • A BROODY RHODE ISLAND RED HEN! What are the chances of that! That's rare. All I have are rhode island reds, I hope one gets broody.

  • Just looking up broody hens because my silkie went broody.

She's a little sweetie, quite shy, but love treats. I'm going to let her hatch them -as they've been fertilised by our roosters.

I'm worried about her eatting though... I read a book about it and it said they take short breaks to feed, but I haven't seen Olivia do that yet.

  • I see you posted some time back- silkies go broody frequently, from what I understand, but rarely raise the chicks well- how did this go for you?

  • I have 3 indoor, 2 roosters and one hen.

  • chickens r awsome! i have 3

  • ahh... i had one...

  • Nice footage. Good job.

  • i used to have 1 just like that

  • I can't wait to get my chickens. It will be great.
