Then, after my daughter was born and I was being wheeled out of the hospital with her in my arms, this song played in my mind over and over. I couldn't stop crying. It was one of the happiest moments of my life. Makes me think of her all the time.

He said he wished we could have gone back home together. This love is still like nothing I have ever known. I love all the different aspects of home presented in the video: children, spouse, friends, beautiful natural landscapes where you can relax and be yourself, remote tea shop, etc. This is exiquisitely done - lovely and never over done. The first time i heard this it made me cry....it reminded me of when my husband and i finally got to take our son home from the hospital NICU after we had to leave him there for an entire month since he was born very prematurely. One of the hardest thing a parent can do is to leave the hospital without their newborn baby.

Some people might say "yea, how much did they run his voice through the computer/autotune?" I went to see Don with his old friends Glenn, Joe, and Timothy in October of last year, and I can tell you even though he is getting gray and starting to look more like an older person, I will tell you THIS SONG IS NOT AUTOTUNED - NOT ONE BIT. How he could have smoked, done falsetto lyrics for 40 years, and toured, and still have a voice I wish I could have, is truly amazing.

This video applies perfectly to a project (name TBD) my husband and I are trying to kick off to bring all our troops home before and after deployment without the cost coming out of their pockets. I lost my only child in Afghanistan Dec. 1, 2010 when he stepped on an IED and I can't begin to imagine how my heart could even consider healing had I not had those amazing 9 days with him home before he deployed. Mine and my husband's mission is now to take everyone of our "bonus" kids deploying home

@boyettta from one military family to another. we are sorry for the loss of your only beloved son. we are greatful for his service and untimely ultimate sacrifice. we were so fortunate as a family that both of our nephews(national guard & army) , both 2 tours in IRAQ and one brother in law ( 2 tours) in afghanistan returned home unharmed!! we can NOT say THANK YOU enough for your loss and pain you are enduring at this time. god bless you!!!

I left home when I was 17. 10 years and what seemed like a lifetime later, I returned home. As I drove, I wondered if my friends would still be around. And Cindy. Was she still there, maybe working at the coffee shop? Well I arrived. The charges had never been dropped and now I'm in jail. Never listen to a corny song.

@Peiazjaeh - if you aren't paying taxes, you should get a job. I would like to get my master's degree and I will need your money to do it. I am enjoying my time here in the joint. I have made some good friends, guys you can really trust and count on. We have plans to start a security guard company when we get out in a couple years. It's obvious you are either young or a bum since you don't pay taxes, so you won't be hiring us to protect your company's assets. We'll make a fortune.

Reminds of Louisiana before Katrina and the way it will never be the same ever again.
I left almost three years ago due to the thugs and murderers who now inhabit it.

This song reminds me of my father's passing. I stayed up most of the night holding his hand, telling him it's ok that he can go to God that his family will be ok that he's done a great job. I grew up listening 2 The Eagles. My dad & mom were huge fans! 1 year I bought the collection of the Eagles. & next, I bought 4 tickets 2 see Don @ Summerfest in WI. I came w/ his biggest fans: my mom and MY DAD! Best experience EVER! Not only was the concert AMAZING, but the memories R beyond priceless! I lost my father in '07, and we played him over the speakers during his service. Weird I guess 2 some, but I know that is what he would have wanted to hear!! Thx Don for always being there!

The first time i heard this it made me cry....it reminded me of when my husband and i finally got to take our son home from the hospital NICU after we had to leave him there for an entire month since he was born very prematurely. One of the hardest thing a parent can do is to leave the hospital without their newborn baby.
