  • wtf is this shit? lol

  • is that your real swing? then how do you chip? xD or do you have multiple swings...

  • @houghtboysftw This is a real swing that works great for me on the golf course. I use a conventional method to chip. I also have a conventional golf swing but the back swing is very short. Check out the other golfers that I train on my channel._Hammer

  • This isn't baseball, keep both hands on the club

  • @TurkFebruary The ball does not care and it works for me.

  • @wholebrainplanet I would have to agree. Do what works. If the only way you can hit it long and straight is to stand over it with your back to the target and swing backwards between your legs, so be it.

  • It may be a short backswing but you're still having to put more of your hips into the shot to make up for a half swing. This makes the swing more harder to pull of from my point of view as this can put you off balance if you don't get the rhythm just right....

  • @Shaftsus I played lots of hockey and baseball and that is a natural move for me. The forward weight shift is where I derive my power. Plus the club is extremely heavy. It is working very well on the golf course for me too. I practice this move alot and I am used to doing it. The bottom line is that I am having fun with my technique.

  • @wholebrainplanet Well i mean it looks good cuz you pull it off for me though it would be difficult lol

  • @Shaftsus I would not recommend this technique for golfers. It works for me and I have really trained to us it on the golf course. Thanks for commenting.

  • wtf

  • this swing is good in the driving range, i am very sure this swing will not be effective playing a round of golf. Distance, accuracy, flight, will be a big big big problem with this swing... i you adopt this swing, stay in the driving range, dont play golf

  • @tataycleto You are only commenting from speculation. I have driven the ball long and accurately with this swing on the course. I appreciate your concerns._Hammer

  • I think i will adopt the shorter backswing also. was that yellow club made of rubber? Also, what do you average score?

  • @politicalpuppettv The short back swing works because there is less that can go wrong on the downswing. My driver head is loaded up with lead tape so the shaft flexes way more than normal. It kicks at the very last micro second and helps draw the ball. I most of the time work my swing at the range and teach my Whole Brain Power program. When I play on a regular basis I can shoot par golf. Thanks for your comments.

  • So whats the reasoning in taking your hand off on the backswing just wondering:)

  • @wardy876 Followrthrough*

  • its back...back...back...and its caught on the center field warning track!

  • @jee10601 You are missing out on your potential to being a minor league play by play announcer.

  • the main thing is that you enjoy playing? It seems that you hit it well and I would say you're around the 8-9 handicap mark. It's strange but if it works, well hey that's talent for you. Do you see anyone having a go at Minger the Slinger in cricket?? Err no because he's one of the all time great bowlers! Great to watch by the way!

  • Whatever works for you, everybody is different so can't use a certain swing for everybody. My swing is normal like golf pros are but I use to have a bad slice, I noticed when I put power in to my swing it is hard for me to get squared when I hit the ball. So I point my driver slightly toward the left like hitting a draw. Now when I put power in to my swing the driver hits the ball squared, so hitting 300 yards is not a problem for me now, I do it consistently. May not work for everybody though.

  • lol are you a PGA golf pro? bet the dude couldnt pass a PAT...i did

  • @philebbesen I just looked at your swing on your channel and you hit it about 280 with the driver. I know that any time you want to bring money to see who hits longer and straighter I would be up for the challenge. You can bring your PAT certification too.

  • @wholebrainplanet what ever happend to playing 18 holes of golf...to decide who is a better golfer. anyone can be a driving range pro take your game to the course. and im 6 foot 4 i can carry a 3wood 280.

  • @philebbesen Congratulations. It seems like you have a bright future.

  • @philebbesen bull!

  • @philebbesen its not how far, its how may and sounding like that you spray like a fucker :)

  • @philebbesen hahaha. Im working on getting mine. Yeah this guy is a scam. You'll take him all day.

Your swing is pretty sweet, and way faster than his with a lot less effort.

I'm sure if you guys used the same equipment you would easily hit it 40 yards past everytime.

As a golfer, if you believe this guy then you should just quit the game right now because you will never be good.

  • whats your handicap?

  • The Back Swing Looked A Baseball Swing

  • @JohnStevensGIL There is a lot of baseball influence in my golf swing.

  • I've watched Michael do this in person on the range and I can say that this guy is the real deal!

  • is this a joke?

  • @MrGmu21 No

  • Everyone at the range must be thinking "What the fuck??"

  • @TaylorMade851 I can outdrive most of them. That 's when they say WTF and I can hit my 64 degree wedge 115 yards with a range ball and that is when they want to learn my methods. Check out my book Whole Brain Power. _ Hammer

  • wtf

  • Your golf swing is Edgar Martinez's baseball swing. No joke.

  • @Eagles2777 I have never heard that comparison. Thanks for the comment.

  • @Eagles2777 i just saw a video of him and lol it really does

  • Teddy Williams goes yard!

  • @jibbajabba311 Thanks for the comment.

  • homerun!

  • @MellowCruisin That's what it feels like.

  • still lookin at the swing... fascinated by your distance to the ball on set up. (down the line view).. The impact looks like the center of the clubhead. also, in studying the setup i now see the forward movement i mentioned is just the head returning to original setup position.(head drifts to right side in backswing) no issue there if it is consistent for you

  • @NoGolfKarts Hey thanks for your comments. I appreciate the fact that you are actually studying the aspects of my swing. You are correct in that I am hitting the center of the driver face._Hammer

  • Also, is there any way to lower my ball flight on my driver by placing lead tape at various loctions on my driver shaft? Thanks

  • what ball do you use? I've started experimenting a little with the lead tape and was wondering if I should use the highest compression ball I can find. I have a pretty fast golf swing. 100-105 last time I checked. Thanks.

  • @hillsvillehokie In this video clip I am hitting nike range balls. When I play on the course I like Pro V1X. They fly well for me. They have 332 dimples and ride the air currents better. I am into ball flight dynamics and get high launch angles with low backspin rates. These variable are important. Check out my book Whole Brain Power and learn some ways to hit the ball better than ever._Hammer

  • your delivery and left leg brace are very sound. your head could stay back a little longer to retain increased spine angle....

  • @NoGolfKarts Thanks for your input.

  • your delivery and left leg brace are very sound

  • 300 yards??? no way!

  • @valend19 I hit it further than 300 yards. Do a google search on me._Hammer

  • @wholebrainplanet look my last video, this is a realy good swing..

  • @wholebrainplanet I use a short backswing too and still hit it quite well, plus it eliminates alot of errant shots. I started doing it just about a year ago, and I am hitting alot more fairways.

  • @watertonrivers That is the purpose to hit fairways. Long and crooked is not a fun way to play golf. Keep on hitting them straight. _Hammer

  • Your golf swing is similar to Babe Ruth's baseball swing...lol

  • @Chipinjack You think so?

  • @wholebrainplanet ...talk about a crazy coincidence...I watch your video on Saturday night and today Sunday my friend tells me he is swinging his follow thru one-handed like you...lol

  • @Chipinjack Tell your friend that he needs to make sure that his one handed release technique is sound. Otherwise the left shoulder is vunerable to injury. _Hammer

  • @wholebrainplanet ...will do, however I think he will soon see your video himself as I've sent him a link. Cheers

  • @Chipinjack Thanks for sharing with your friend. Tell him to get on the hammer training and build up the strength in his left arm, especially the hand, wrist, and forearm._Hammer

  • @Chipinjack you at least have a belly like babe ruth

  • @golfmaniac007 The ball does not give a flying F...._Hammer

  • to my eyes it looks like a one plane swing right outta "Moe Norman's" book, except u added a weird follow thru. lok at mo'e golf vids on here, so sim sorry but u claiming this as your own is not a nice thing to do to Moe now that he's deceased.

  • @dave93vert I was swinging this way long before I heard of Moe Norman. There is no disrespect to Moe Norman from me. As far as the one handed release in this video, I used to do this in baseball. So I incorporated it into my golf swing. Thanks for your input.._Hammer

  • excellent step and follow through

  • @NotDavidM Thanks.

  • Laughable but pretty good marketing with good pseudoscience for idiots, you should get quite a few suckers.

  • @iFreak81 Hey, thanks for your comments about my marketing. Check out the reviews for my Whole Brain Power book on Amazon. Looks like some of those people are having great success with my so called "pseudoscience." Hammer

  • Ok im glad this swing works for you, but all you'll have to do is start teaching this to kids and the US won't win another Ryder cup for a century.

  • @lawslugger If the kids in the US learned to have better hand eye coordination and focus then they might win again. Hammer

  • Comment removed

  • Ah is anyone noticing that he actually domed it into the bunker. You can even here it when it lands.

  • WoW...

  • @Slammball Thanks for the comment. Hammer

  • omg 0:23

  • @xxxFruThorxxx My thoughts on the matter as well. Even though I do not have a long backswing I am getting some awesome lag as you noticed. Hammer

  • @wholebrainplanet yeer nice ;)

  • @xxxFruThorxxx Check out my Whole Brain Power book and other videos on my channel. Hammer

  • @wholebrainplanet What you handicap ??

  • @xxxFruThorxxx At the present I am not carrying one. However, when I was playing on a regular basis I was down to scratch. You can do a Google search (The Hammer Man Of Golf) on my improbable story at how I started golf at age 43 and Aliso Vijo Golf Club sponsored my game for 2 years. The story is also in my Whole Brain Power book. Hammer

  • @wholebrainplanet Okay :) i will do that ;)

  • @xxxFruThorxxx Thanks for your interest. Hammer

  • but can you score

  • @bluetiege Sure can.

  • just got back from the range, hammer. 400+ on all my drives.

  • @rpb0125 Pretty soon the long drive guys will be shaking in their boots. You will have to post on your channel. It's pretty easy to do. Hammer

  • i hit the ball about 375 off the tee. straight every time

  • @rpb0125 I am very happy for you. Maybe when you get the chance you can post your swing. Hammer

  • ugly swing

  • @MrTwins323 It gets the job done. Thanks for your input. Hammer

  • this guy hits like bowser from mario golf LOL O_o

  • @bonksmagic Thanks for your input. Hammer

  • That almost looks exactly like my swing but i dont lift my front foot and i follow through with both hands and hit 250 - 275 all day long. I thought i was alone.

  • @thegreenhouseman Post your swing. I would be interested in seeing it. Hammer

  • I still think Adam Sandler is better!

  • @JUANPCPRODUCTIONS I can outdrive Adam Sandler any day with his style. You have to realize that Happy Gilmore was a movie. Hammer

  • @wholebrainplanet Yea I knew it was like fake I was jux trying to make a joke

  • @JUANPCPRODUCTIONS I was playing along with you. Hammer

  • bet hes up there with albert pujols

  • @geet25 Thanks for the comment. Hammer

  • haha so stupid. What a hack. At first i thought it was a joke but wow. kudos if u actually got people to buy this

  • @GunCoppaz Hey thanks. Hammer

  • I commend you for creating power. But, moving the shoulders to the right and back to the left is difficult to time. Less athletic players, and I would guess you yourself, would have limited success sometimes. It's just not very repeatable.

  • @jaymaynk My swing is all about athleticism and timing. My results are very good. Thanks for the comment. Hammer

  • baseball much?

  • @Spencerftw Yes sir! Hammer

  • @Baddmnkey Those are my thoughts on the matter too. Thanks for the comment. Hammer

  • With those fundamentals you would be good no matter what style you use. You are on plane going back, have tremendous lag, and a great impact position. I'll bet you would do just the same with a conventional looking backswing and follow through as well. With golf, all that matters is your impact position, with yours it looks great, you must be a good ball striker.

  • Thanks for your comments. I have a two handed follow through as well. Check out some of the other videos that I have posted. Hammer

  • @wholebrainplanet

wow your swing really is strong, and your swing plane is amazing even though the takeaway is short. I would like to point out one thing though, how do you handle pitch shots, chip shots or finesse shots? what kind of swing do you do when you have 135 yards strong wind and a 9 iron in hand instead of your normal club ? another question, your swing is powerful, no doubt but can you be as accurate with that swing as a normal swing with less dynamic movement ?

  • Thanks for your comment. I use a multi faceted approach to playing golf. I practice with all of my clubs with different amounts of power applied. I will send you a clip from my channel showing a short game shot. Subscribe to my channel. I post lots of video. Hammer

  • that just looks rediculous IMO

  • You are entitled to your opinion. It's the results are what count. I drive the ball very well with my technique.

I went to your channel and saw your driver swing. I would be atleast a good 25-40 yards ahead of you on every par 4 and par 5. IMO. Hammer

  • @wholebrainplanet

i cant really argue if it works

but i couldnt imagine standing on the first tee and having my arm fly off the shaft in my follow through

and oh i do hit it a long way anyway

im around 280 on average but with range balls at a range its going to be considerably shorter

  • I have the proof that my swing works. Look at my videos. Do a bit of research on me. There are articles on the net.

To my knowledge there is no other serious golfer in the world that uses the one handed release swing. It has taken years of baseball playing, hand, wrist and forearm strength training to swing with my method.

I am way outside of the box and enjoy the uniqueness that I exhibit.

280 yards is good for you. I still would be outdriving you by a considerable margin. Hammer

  • His swing plane is perfect though. Almost dead straight on the flight with just a slight draw. It's what he does through the ball that counts, and the shorter back swing gives additional control so there's much less chance of the swing breaking down or coming across the ball target line.

  • Hey thanks for the comment. I appreciate your thoughts about my unusual technique. Most of golf balls that I hit well have just a slight draw. Alot of it has to do with the hammer drill training. Check out my other videos and please subscribe to my channel. Hammer

  • @WestBromSte

agreed lol, but if it works it works

  • Batter up!

  • It works pretty good for a former baseball player. Hammer

  • That explains it..

  • thats fuckin awesome

  • Thanks for the comment. I saw your posts. Try to get a wider base and it should help out your swing. Hammer

  • how do you putt? right handed? left handed? ambidextrously? one handed release?

  • All of the above.

  • How does having a one handed release benefit your putting game?
