Although I am all for animals and their rights, sometimes keeping them in cages is saving them. Think about it this way, would you rather be in a cage or a pen with food, water, and shelter.. not to mention protection. I have rescued cats and kittens from the pound, all my life, i have taken in strays too. guess i love cats, big ones too.

in some ways too see cats caged like this is a tragedy, but it helps breeding and species survival.

my only big cat experience was at the melbourne zoo (australia), a puma roared right in front of me, i have never ever felt anyting like it, it went right through me, it still makes my hair stand up to this day.
