  • Still love this jam. Okay, TVOne Network it's time for a Five Star episode of Unsung. Who's with me?

  • great memories looking at mtv just wonderful yeeeeaaahhh

  • Lead singer was in that Thriller show. She really sounds GREAT doing MJ's songs

  • Loved this group :)

  • Oh look she wearing that Pink Firday Nicki Minaj lipstick shade by MAC. Lmao I use to love Five Star I use to think me & my brother and sisters were going to be like them b/c my ma had five kids. An 80's kid imagination.

  • i use to sing this song all the time....i luv it still

  • Y'all know Mandy Moore covered this on her debut album. And I love both versions

  • THIS GO

  • I was doin fine-just got back from church, now lustin on the love of my life-shes so FINE!!!!!Lol!!!Help me Lord

  • ah the 80's how I miss them!

  • sounds like loose ends because Carl McIntosh from loose ends produced some of 5 Stars songs

  • I love this song!!!!

  • I wish that the video was better! That brings back some memories! They were great!

  • And dont 4get,they got cloths on

  • and @ the age of about 20,i thought she was finest girl alive, lol!!!

  • @TERRYBUTLER69 I did too back then, well after Kim Fields.

  • @soulfulcooking Kim Fields-i dont no about that 1,but 2 each his own-mad love on the kfields-lol!!!!

  • Trying to buy it on google music,DARN-they dont have it!!!!

  • @TERRYBUTLER69 Google "Free youtube downloader" and you can get it off of here!

  • dont forget the jets, lol a lot of family groups back in the day,the track is tight, and no days all i hear is a lot of technique singers ,bassed on lessons instead of raw natural soul.

  • They need an Unsung episode! LOVE THEM!!!

  • Incredible. I did not like this song back in the 80s when it first came out, I thought expose's "let me be the one" was much better. Now, I can barely stop watching the video and listening to the song. Prime example of how true talent will eventually prevail!

  • Dang I totally forgot about these people. They were so much like the Jacksons. I wonder are they still in England singing?

  • 44 clowns think that chris browns yeah, ushers more & omg, & niki minags super bass are more better than this. Please. I take this over all three of them.

  • Damn this was my s#!t!!! I miss these days! I was 4 years old and I still remember this. They're from London. I think Loose Ends produced this joint or their producers! Timeless jam right here!

  • I really wasnt into Five Star back in the day.

  • FUNK AND SOUL WAS INFILTRATED BY THOSE WHO COULDNT SING IT OR HAD THE HEART TO PLAY IT, SO THEY MADE A MANUFACTURED VOCAL AND GROOVES NOW DAYS AND EVN DANCE, THATS WHAT PEOPLE DO WHEN THEY CANT FIT IN THEY FIND A WAY TO GET IN.

  • @hipowerz your so on point with your comment , i just happen to come across this video an couldn't help but think this group really isn't that strong vocally . the beat was fresh an new for the 80's but such a stark contrast to so many of the amazing gifted voices of the 50's 60's & 70's. over time the pool of really gifted singers shrunk to the rare few, to many folks get by on their looks an not their talent which has left us with an ocean of really craptastic music an artists.

  • five star gets 5 stars!!!!!

  • this was my jam and still is it'ssooo cute! i always thought and still think she sings better than janet (this girl could really sing)

  • Music to my ears. Sweet music. <3

  • Good times and even better music

  • This is a CLASSIC!!!!!!

  • This is one off my favorite video's from them.

  • Yep, they were brilliant and British. The reason you cant hear their accent is that they, and most British soul singersof that time sang in an american accent. I knew all the song lyrics and the moves, used to put on a little routine for the family. Oh the good old days. Then the music industry turned to rat shit!

  • @brownfaye British?!!? Wow, I loved them back in the day and never knew that! That's cool either way!!

  • OOOh, I remember trying to dye my hair in Jr. high and it came looking all orange like that. Home perms and sun-in= 80's FAIL.

  • OmG!!!!!!! I swear growing up, i had a crush that lead singer.... I thought she was talking to me.......lmao

  • when i was i kid i was in LOVE with the lead singer....oh my GOD!

  • @workwithbillygee man WHAT, im 28, i remember seeing that TAPE, (yeah, CASSETTE, look it up youngins), and being like damn, i want a light skinned girl, lol....give it up 4 black girls born in the UK...

  • IM LIKING THIS!

  • its funny when british people sing u never here there accent

  • believe it or not they were from england,i saw them on bandstand when i was 15, and they all had british accents. how bout that?

  • @nwlman agree! me to.

  • They look like a group full of Toni Braxton's. lol.

  • @Mikizzle15 LOL...Yes they look like Braxtons, Jacksons, and possibly Debarge's rolled into one!!! I thought it was only me!

  • Steadman Pearson used to be in my class at school and my main memory of him is his mate holding me while he beat the shit out of me, and I got in trouble for fighting and he got nothing done to him. If I bump into him again I will knock him the fuck out.

  • video doesn't match up? What do you expect from the year 1985 anyway? I bet back then you were still rockin' betamax connected to yo mama's 500-pound, woodgrain TV with the VHF/UHF manual dials, yo!

KA-THUNK KA-THUNK KA-THUNK. damn, those rabbit ears fell off again!!!

    gb

  • let me be the one...cause they all can get it!

  • Five Star went to a chip shop in Virginia Water, where my cousin worked, back in the 80's

  • bitch this shit slaps .....CHRIS CRAYZIE IS WHAT IT IS COME TO MY PAGE ......BOMB FIRST OR CRASH YA CAR

  • I REAlly this family group. They were one of the baddest groups from the UK and the 80's

  • I was not around when the Jackson 5 came onto the scence. But, my aunts and uncles use to talk about it all of the time. The first time they saw the Jacksons 5 on tv. I had this group. And I use to love this song. I use to pretend I was the lead singer. Dance steps included, lol. So remind me of the Jacksons, Michael Jackson, Janet Jackson.

  • they are the nephews and nices of michael jackson

  • I love them! You can tell they were influenced heavily by the Jacksons - Janet especially :-)

  • This song takes me back to highschool. Remember your first love?....Those were the best days.

  • omg pause it at 0:02

it looks like michael jackson not kidding

  • @rawrmonster1000 I agree with you. I had to do a double take.

  • That backing is undoubtedly the work of the Loose Ends guy. Love it.

Why didnt they stick to quality stuff like this & All Fall Down ?... they ended up doin mindless pop stuff like Whenever You're Ready. Brilliant group.

  • OMG I used to love this group!!

  • this is song

  • 80's music rules

  • @lasar1968 You got that right...80's forever

  • This song was the shit back in the day

  • Why has not TV One's Unsung did not do a story on them yet?

Unsung is missing a lot of groups like The SOS Band, The Emotions, The Jones Girls, OMG so many.

  • @honeegrrl hell yea

  • @basariji But then again, maybe they don't want to do an Unsung.

  • @honeegrrl

it sounds like their pop was another Joe Jackson...tyrannical and controlling...u see what it did to poor MJ

  • @honeegrrl I THINK THEY WILL GET TO SUM OF THEM

  • @honeegrrl As well as loose Ends,Soul 2 Soul, their should be a black british invasion month on unsung,so many great black british R & B groups came out of the 80,s that im curious to know more about, especially loose Ends, there so much drama that occured withhin the group so many people dont know about.

  • @honeegrrl Don't forget The SYLVERS.

  • @memyself2k yes......
