If I don't like the quality or cost of a (union) American car, I can always buy an import - which I've never done. I will, but I doubt that I will ever completely disregard Marx. There are elements in his philosophy that are almost incontestable. Most workers under capitalism know that they are not earning their fair share, the only fact keeping them from this is access to the means of production, and their bosses will minimize their earnings by any means necessary. (And btw, there still hasn't been a truly Marxist nation.)

Our beef is with public unions - the ones that we have no choice but to pay for. Work for 30 years, retire at 55 or so and collect 75% of your salary until you die at 85. How can the math work on that one? Well, it doesn't, which is a major reason that the states are in dire straits.
