that little kid they show and the audio says something along with creepy laughter. about 24 sec into this. what are they saying? its driving my crazy, more than the beep does.
BEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEPPP.. that sould be a fear factor contest. Make ppl go insane
Anik E2 goes back to the Analog satellite dish days. E2 was one of many satellites you could dial into back then. I remember it got damaged by a solar flare and knocked out a lot of television stations in the late 90's. E2 was destroyed because of it. Keep up the good work wow brings back memmories for me for sure i was 11 when this was around.
On Thursday, January 20, 1994 Anik E1 and E2 suffered problems due to solar activity. E1 failed first at 12:50 (EST), knocking out satellite-delivered television signals in Canada.
I'm looking for the YTV sign off from 95... basically it consisted of these trippy light colored shapes moving around on the screen while what sounded like "Portishead" was playing in the background. -thanks
Sorry, because this probably doesn't make much sense, but I figured I'd try.
If I recall correctly, YTV used to have a scrolling network programming guide that ran up to a week in advance during it's sign-off hours in 1988 and 1989....do you remember that at all? :)
That beep at the end of this video, when I was a kid, that meant that I was up way past my bedtime.
It was so annoying back then, but now I kinda miss it...

YTV used to air Friday nights on the block from 8PM to sign off until 1994. and then resumed in 1997 on teletoon.

Was there a sign-on for YTV like this video from the early-90s but with the sun not the moon?
Meebman1419 6 months ago
I listened to this for so long that I couldn't hear the beep anymore.

What does the text starting at 0:30 mean?
It sounds so confusing.

Well, simply put, it's the signal strength.

Do you have any of the nostalgic tapes from Teletoon 1997-2000? I'd love to see any because I'm a Teletoon FREAK!

The only thing I don't like about 24/7 air time is no sign offs!

I used to run something like 5:30am to midnight, right? Now it's 24 hrs.

Even as late as 1994 YTV was signing off at around 4:00am. No idea when they switched to 24 hours, but it would be interesting to find out!
