Look at the picture at 2:21 min. Now imagine the Maserati without the blue painted rear addon with the spoiler. I think the silhouette now looks very similiar to the Ferrari 512 Testarossa.

The picture at 1:10 has nothing to do with the mc12. Its the maserati birdcage concept which was actually designed after the mc12 was produced.
