I must admit I literally only came to know how gifted this woman is in the last 24 hours. My wife turned me onto some videos here and I was floored at her vocal prowess. A music fanatic for 30 years I'm not easily impressed. Wynonna has a voice to die for. Very powerful and full of emotion. Amazing lady.

The song could be for her sister, and then for an old (not forgotten) romance. that is how i hear it. It was written by Billy Kirsch, Bat McGrath, but sometimes a singer and songwriters find each other and it's magic. This is such a case. She even sings well with laryngitis.
