1960s Popeye Club - Officer Don and the Skylift

My parents had a VHS collection of the Popeye Club. Even though I was a child of the 90s, I grew up watching the Popeye Club. Would not have had it any other way.

God......What time did this come on? I think it was every weekday at 4:30 on channel 2. I remember Orville the Dragon and many things about the show. I never realize he could do all the prat falls that he is doing here.

Also, looking back on this show, I never really saw Officer Don as a Policeman....That was just his name.....I know watching this show sure did not endear me to cops!

Anyway I wanted to be on the show but my parents would have never allowed it.

I would like to declare that this is not a realistic depiction of operating a cable car. I've worked on such a vehicle most of my life and never once have I....AAAAAAHHHHHhhhhhhhhhhh...

Perfect example to depict to children. P.S. I don't find his version of Buster Keaton too amusing, he actually looks like some overactive wasted suburban older dad who tries without success to be funny. Shouldn't he be chasing someone around the chairlift so it makes sense for him to crawl around the thing? BTW, the film edit splice points (the closeup) while he 'falls' from the gondola are priceless.
