@bushidoartss : why dont you try a little more explanation ,pal. You saying Karate is a "game" for kids ?? If so, you may have a point in terms of the watered down karate of the past 50 or so yrs., but I can assure you, someone who truly knows "Karate" has few peers. I suggest you check out Sensei Vince Morris (who btw has more technical knowledge re: kata applications than most japanese jka instructors) lemme guess ....yer a jujitsu practioner ??

@bushidoartss I said nothing about whether I believe karate is better than real fighting. I was condemning people who pass judgement on what was shown on this video. I am quite aware of what is reality and fantasy. Traditional karate has it's limitations, but so do other arts. The nice thing about karate is that most of us after training for 45 years, can still train and enjoy it. I don't see your video yet, bushidoarts!
@bushidoartss What do you mean by "leep " practicing? I personally practice both traditional karate and street combat techniques. I would hope that you learn better communication skills and I think you should go wash out your mouth with soap for your bad choice of language!

Yet my brother in law, who was trained by this man, was attacked in the parking lot of Knott's Berry Farm with my sister and another couple by 5 street hoods. The one who was left standing ran for the barbed wire fence trying to climb *in* to Knott's for safety.

it is a very pure style based on the belief of tai sabaki which has a basic philosophy of moving you body to counter your opponent but keeping your feet in place (there is alot more to it than that)

Any Black Belt of Shorin Ryu ShorinKan Karate Can beat any other Karate style in the world. My instructor was Eddie Bethea. I am a first degree black belt of this style and an 8th degree in Choy Li Fut Kung Fu and Master Lee was my Teacher.
