could you make a video of installing a door lock please? my door lock on the back door of my ford windstar id f@*%ed lmao. thx for showing how to remove them.
Like many others, I dont bother locking my doors. Mainly because theres nothing in there of value! But I did lose my only key to my car the other day, so now its just sitting in the driveway...
nothing of value?how bout your car-or if they dont want to steal it they can allways pop the hood and pour something forein in it,what they cant or dont take -they can always ruin
In my case, they can open the hood without getting in the car. Not hard. As for door locks, they are rather dumb on a convertable. there is an ancient tool that will get you into any vintage convertable. Its called a knife (just cut the top open or for that matter pull it up and out of the way and reach in to grab the door locks from the inside)
there are a lot of options out there though and I liek the way the look on other peoples cars. I love the look of the v8 4wd Midget that was in mg enthusiast. I like the chrome mesh grills, and the early slatted grills that have 2 out of every 3 slats removed or something like that. I like the stock one on mine because it has sentimental value. It was my dads car. Still if I were starting frm scratch I'd probibly replace the nose clip with a speedwell, lenham, or monza. Jacobs midgets rock 2
@noobydiablo Were you implying that he should strip the grille and polish it? Or that HE should strip and then proceed to polish the grille? BIG difference so I felt the need to ask!
Like many others, I don't bother to lock my doors. The thieves aren't smart enough to reach in through the top to open the doors so they slash the top when it's up.
I know the door locks are a bit of a moot point, but I am thrilled any time I manage to get some system back in operation for the first time in at least 20 years.
I can't get the three initial torq bolts off!!!!!
