I love every language. I learnt many languages to understand the

culture & literature of various regions. It is often said by

some people that Urdu has no base in this region or in that region.

I just responded to it. It is right that Urdu has no regional base or pillar but it is the language of mass communication.

It has been confirmed by the researchers that the word URDU has no connection with the Turkish word “URDU”. It is a compound of two South Asian words HIRDA & DO (Two hearts ).

URDU is not the language of camp or palace. It went from the streets to palace. In another words first the masses started to speak it and then the royal families.

dilip kumar´s mother tongue is Hindko(a punjabi variant), when he was living in peshawar. Peshawar at that time was predominantly Hindko(a variant of punjabi) speaking city. But afterwards pashtuns from surrounding villages settled in peshawar and today peshawar city is predominantly pashto speaking.
