Bottom line. Corporations are for profit. They are not patriotic. If they can ship jobs overseas for cheaper labor, they will and they are!!! I don't understand why this is such a mystery to people. The purpose of tax breaks to corporations is to create jobs and help the economy in America. At least that is what we are told. Obviously we've been lied to. I work in the banking industry in IT. More than half my colleagues are either in India or some part of Asia.

However, A few of the comments in responds to the video regarding President Barack Obama's visit to Latin America should be classified as treason. The comments are appalling and should be banned and reported to the secret service. Even when disagreeing on policy there is an acceptable and unacceptable response.

Imports = Bad
Obviously, we are in no position to start an embargo upon China/India, but we should begin trying to export at least more than we import, however hard it is.
This is good news, the more we shorten the gap between money gained and paid, the better. Nothing wrong here.

@abbyratsolee If imports from the world to America are bad, others could say that US imports to their countries are bad too. Wrong idea. Nationalism and protectionism are always wrong. US trade deficits are 100% concentrated in energy and consumer goods sectors, not industrial supplies and finished capital goods. America has world-class industries in virtually every sector but, in my opinion, has a problem of too much borrowing and overconsumption due to easy money policies in last decades.

What if we offer discounts to people who have businesses here so that people will want to bring their business here, and those that don't earn a percentage off of them.5% or or something and we can use that to pay down our debt. And by this we will have created jobs, cause businesses will come back cause of discounts or tax breaks. Competition will be back.

But China is smart and slaps huge tariffs on US imports to protect their growing economy. And please explain how N.American workers can continue to compete with slave labor?
