  • In general, I think it would a nice habit if you'd take one second in the beginning of the game to examine what flag your opponent has. (Not for obvious ones, of course.)

  • Hi kingscrusher, just been wondering, do you and other strong players only calculate forcing/semi-forcing lines? Would appreciate a reply, thanks!

  • id be willing to play you in a match, if you want a stronger opponent(my r l rating is 2000 and im unrated on icc stantard. My handle is massdestroyer.

  • Why do you play with low rating players? Isnt it too easy for you?

  • @raccoon0413 There are only 7 players above 2300 on the 15 minute autopairing. The autopairing chooses the opponents.

  • @kingscrusher Oh I see. I thought you were trying to demonstrate us how to plan strategies by choosing lower rating players : ) thank you for your reply.

  • @kingscrusher Thanks for doing the videos! Hearing your ideas in 15-minute are great, regardless of the opponent.

  • @raccoon0413 when I first signed up for the ICC, not long ago, I had several of what I would call lucky games in a row. THen my rating went up to I believe 1990 or so. I was scared I was going to play Kingscrusher and then he would humiliate me on Youtube. Who is this 1900 guy who knows so little about opening theory? Well luckily I lost lots of games and now i'm back to about 1300. Close call.

  • Bf6 was a deadly defense. G6 would have given him some more minutes in the game maybe. Only 25 moves. Oooops !!

  • yes Bf8 was obvious...

  • How about just Qe7 after Rd6... It seems to hold down the fort for a while longer anyways.

  • @xEric1993 Whoops... It's just dropping the knight

  • @xEric1993 it's Rxb6 knight up

  • hehe. when black plays 1...c5 and 2...d6 he's definitly asking for Bb5+. an amazing move ;)

  • Bf8 would still lose to rxd6 though .

  • @bleek18 It's hardly terminal, though. Rybka +0.75 (depth 17) after Bf8, +4.13 (depth 16) after Bf6.

My point was that Bf8 was the ENTIRELY routine choice. We see 1600 players play like IMs and 1800 players make moves you just can't explain. It's a den of rouges! :)

  • The guy plays Bf6 as one of the fastest moves of his game and it loses a pawn and a piece, and the game, on the spot. If you're going to (relatively) insta-move, surely you don't consider anything but Bf8?

Very nice opening, looked like fairly risk-free play from early on. gg

  • @thespacialone SC2 player?

  • @holl01 What's that?
