Yes I am an Indian too. I am very proud to see the great Chief Dan George in the media. The Chief exemptlifies the character of some our elders. I have been fortunate enough to witness this mystical gentleness of many elders.

Without a lesson book of anysort, their actions teaches me to be grateful for the moment, forget about the past grievences (which I often find hard to do).

Perhaps it is the tone/intonation that are the spiritual aspect of culture.

Always loved CHief Dan George's monologues. He certainly was deserving of his title. He had a storyteller's voice, one that you can listen to for hours as he would tell tales of days long gone. There was a quiet gentleness to his voice that made it sound so soothing. Rest well Chief, and be at peace.
