Some of you guys here have got it back to front, the young guys of today have a lot of skill and talent just like they did in the older days. And this sort of music and the people singing it has always appealed to the younger generation(kids) the beatles and stones are a classic example.Nothings really changed in that department, but what has changed is the songwriting and structure of the song. Most musos now dont know how to write.Thats what it is. Same with comedy, comedy today is repedative.
X FACTOR - WTF??? Guy's like this, Zeppelin, Bowie, The Beatles, The Doors etc etc would and do eat to days bands or what ever alive. Granted times have changed but plenty of kids, once they get passed 16 suddenly discover these great rock bands and not to forget and including the mighty Pink Floyd. (Still love this song)
joe cocker would blow them away with this song.....but it doesn't matter anyway because the music industry now is rigged to appeal to 14 year old girls with more money than taste
One of the best and most tuneful singles ever released. I loved it at the time but for some reason it didn't seem to get played much. Thanks, I'll play this lots.
Hadn't heard this in 40 years ... hadn't realised what a great number it was. (But like so many records at that time, it just didn't come over very well on the tinny little radios that were all many of us had to listen with. Couldn't afford to actually buy too many discs in those days.)

Well said jagdpanther1944, the drivel that comes off the manufactured show that is x factor cannot in any way be compared to greats like Joe
