my grandfather always told me, a gun with this reputation should be well respected. it needs regular cleaning and needs to be fired once in a while. and never forget to put lube on it.that m1 of yours look like it needs some. my grandfathers m1 Garand is full of scratches and has a small compartment for cleaning kit in the butt stock. It still fires pretty darn good. anyways nice gun man, at least yours is brand new. cheers ^_^
