Thank you for a beautiful rendition of this song. I was teen when Donovan recorded it. I was my best friend Donald's favorite song. Hearing it still makes me cry. But somehow when you sing it it makes me happier and makes him alive again. He was killed in Laguna in 1994 at 39. Him healthy, me full blown aids. I lived, he got killed. I am 56 now. Donovan recorded the song twice. Originally he was mimicking Bob Dylan. Later for his greatest hits album, he did it in a mellower truer Donovan flower child style. This is more like the Dylan style recording. Both are great by the way.
