The correct way to perform a five stroke roll is R R L L R L L R R L, or for a continuous roll, one must play R (L L R R) L (R R L L).

if your snare drum has a washed ring after your hit, what i did was place an a4 peace of paper ontop of it and it crisps the sound

i've never seen anyone do a 5 stroke roll this way. Conventionally its RRLLR LLRRL, don't believe me then watch pretty much any other video on the 5 stroke roll.
