  • HAIKU

    I hatch! Crawl! And swim!

Oh how I love my sweet life,

    Don't litter my home.

    —A Green Sea Turtle

  • AND THE TRUTH SHALL SET US FREE

  • Try and remember that you are all watching this on computers made of plastic. It's not the item itself, it's the actions of the careless.

  • Everyone Type "Won" Before youtube.com

  • occult drumming-our children now learning?

  • Any thing occurse at the earth , in the earth , for the earth and its residents humans and animals and others are from man, scientistice says always to solve a problem is treat the cause so man can do something and its vital to help in saving the earth and its residents starting from the smallest plastic bag to the massive destructive weapons in its manufacturing and in fiering it on the creatures or in the trial process at the earth .

MAN DO NOT KILL YOURSELF, DO NOT BE KILLER .

  • Fantastic. More negitive things that everbody knows. Why don`t you offer solutions. I can think of about 8 solutons to eliminate plastic from everyday life.. I will make anouther comment listing them..

  • @KISSarmyist What is the computer you type your comment made out of? Did you carve it from a tree?

  • ok, i will try not to shop if that means getting a plastic bag

  • @userac78 But you will drive your car to the store to ask for your items, wrapped in plastic packaging, to be put in a paper bag.

  • @TiminPhoenix i usually bring my own bag and currently i dont even drive

  • @Soulfree2008 Yeah, it's sickening to watch a species that thinks it is so intelligent, slowly commit total mass suicide! Yet in some way it's comforting to know that the Earth will eventually heel itself and new species will evolve to inherit this magical place!

  • @Soulfree2008 Ohh Yeah!!! I'm with you! But through discussions, I have found that unfortunately, The Unthinking Majority doe'snt grasp the vastness of the Global ecological catastrophes cuased by our species! Therefore we need to make small steps, you know treat them like third graders as to not color outside the lines, yet quickly decide what those lines and bounderies need to be in order to Clean Things Up!

  • @Soulfree2008 IT'S NOT THAT WE ARE THROWING IT IN THE OCEAN, BUT RATHER WE ARE NOT PROPERLY CONTAINING IT WHEN WE PUT IT OUT ON GARBAGE DAY! OR THROWING IT OUT OUR CAR WINDOW WHILE ON THE ROADS AND HIGHWAYS! OR PEOPLE THAT BUY SHIT AND UNWRAP IT ON THE WAY TO THE CAR AND LEAVE ALL THE GARBAGE FLOATING IN A PARKING LOT! NATURE THEN BLOWS IT AROUND AND INTO SEWERS, STREAMS AND WATERWAYS AND THEY ALL LEAD TO OUR OCEANS!!!!

STEP #1 - WE MUST (ALL) CONTAIN OUR GARBAGE!

  • This is a real eye-opener!

  • Oceans, Lakes, Rivers People today do not care about what their doing when dumping their trash into the waters of Mother Nature, their either too drunk or stupid to take note and place it in a container to dispose of later but not in our waters.

How long would a Human being live if ate PLASTIC"S as the animals in our Oceans and rivers and other flowing water ways. Not long Not long at all before they too would end up in Emergency to pump their gut..Wake Up World ..

  • In Miami, you can buy sturdy polyester bags for a dollar that fill up a lot of groceries from the stores. People just take them to the store and fill them up instead of paper or plastic bags. I dont know why the grocery stores here in California, never thought about doing that? I dont understand. Its free advertising for them as well because they put their logo on there.

  • Ocean Voyage Institute is making a HUGE effort to clean up the plastic in the oceans. They are currently raising funds to go the North Pacific Gyre this summer with a team of volunteers to collect the plastic and trash that has accumulated there, as well as researching environmentally friendly ways to dispose of it. Please help save our oceans and the wildlife that live there by googling “dream sail raffle” and visiting our website, as well as posting it on your pages!

  • A beautifully told and TRUE story about the ocean. I hope the ocean itself doesn't become a fairy tale because of us humans.

  • Recycling is not a trend, but a lifestyle.

  • Please join my new group on facebook "The Plastic Soup of Our Oceans" , so we can talk about this issue and how we can get people to realize just how bad it is and that we need to pay attention to what we are throwing away are where it is going!

  • lets build a space crap and send it to the sun...wehehehehehehehe!

  • To get rid of every piece of plastic in the ocean, we need to drain the ocean of everything, which is obviously impossible. The whole human race must be wiped out for the earth to at least attempt a comeback.

  • The solution is to go 100% green in turns there will be no need for many type of bags. All natural primative lifestyles. But without the proper indicators us humans will continue our onslaught on the planet.

  • ...And although using plastic bags is a dumb idea, plastic bottles (i.e. of water) cause 10x more damage. People might use a million plastic bags a minute, but they use 2 million bottles of watter in 10 minutes, and plastic bottle caps float. Buy a water filter... Boom, done. Save a thousand bucks a year.

  • This video contains lots of bullsh*t... There is NO plastic dust in your or anyone else's blood stream... that is idiotic! Stomachs would pass it and poop it, lungs would not transfer it. Plastics are inert and if they were in your blood stream, i.e. you injected it for some stupid reason, your body would collect and poop it out. If it were anything larger than seriously small dust, you would just have a heart attack and die within a minute. That is the dumbest idea I've heard this year.

  • The only non sense bull I read is yours right and it makes me sick. Plastic is disastrous to our ocean, wildlife and humans. Stop the use of plastic!

  • It would take many "millions" of years before that toxic-Plastic will natural digest! We could setup company's for the compassion of humanity for developing intelligent "anti depletion technology" with all the best intentions for the world! It must be possible if there is any hope left?

  • Even if you would burn all the plastic in the world, everything will just end up into the bio-sphere and in the cycle of life, and if you would recycle plastic and make "things" out of it, you touch it, you breath it, the plastic comes into you! The plastic becomes you. The same Plastic that is very toxic! Just look up all the plastic garbage?

  • Human race is the worst evil that ever existed, anywhere in the universe and should be sterilized. Humans are a self centered, ugly and evil mutant human virus thats destroying the earth. If humans cared about anything they would have their trawlers out there right now, skimming up their poisonous crap. But they love murder, gluttony, and suicide and have proved they prefer that to life.

  • Let's do some math...

    1 sq. mile = 27,878,400 sq. ft. / 46,000 = 606.1

So that's 1 "piece" of plastic (size undefined in video) for every 606.1 sq.ft. of ocean. About 1 piece in the size of a small apartment, right? So what? Furthermore, the claim is made that plastic to plankton ratio is 30:1. Do you really expect me to believe plankton only occurs at a rate of one every 18,182 sq. ft?! Ludicrous.

You should refer to the ocean in terms of cubic ft., The water the plankton live in has depth.

  • There's a mist of plastic in the ocean. There's tiny pieces of broken down plastic floating way under the surface, yeah that means cubic feet.. and depth, moron. In samples of fish and there was over sixty pieces of plastic in the fish. Birds die from eating lighters. You're a selfish turd that should be forced to eat that plastic fish and then all that plastic.

  • awful =(

  • Excellent, excellent video. Thank you.

  • Stiamo distruggendo la nostra casa e nessuno fa niente per impedirlo

  • I believe that global warming is a scheme to make money be cause it is pushed on us like a fad. I know that pollution is real because the media and the government turn a blind eye to it.

  • I believe that it is caused by a solar cycle. Hopefully pollution reduction will result from the governmental attention to climate change.

  • thanks for posting this video! Very educative, I will send to all my friends.

  • interesting. nev knew that

  • I quit using plastic bags, and started buying corn husk jars and cups to drink from. They are not chemical, and they biodegrade overtime, and in a good healthy earth way. Plastic toothbrushes need to stop being manufactured, and I've stopped buying plastic and rubber made cooking spoons and such, the wooden ones are just as good. I also am more aware of everything I have now, and I make sure it gets recycled in every way possible, right down to the last battery. It feels good doing so.

  • Thank you for making this video. I have stopped using plastic bags, drinking out of plastic bottles (do not by bottled water) and storing food in disposable plastic containers. It took a few weeks to get used to the change but I have forgotten plastic now--go glass and recycle it over and over. Use canvas bags at the store. It is really easy to change. It may not be as convenient at it once was but do you want to be part of the problem--or part of the solution.

  • I'm promoting unplastic Green bags -NOT polyethelene-the crap sea turtles mistake 4favorite food, jellyfish. Biobag is veg-resin, sinks, no floating nurdles, can pass through fish etc.without DEATH...victims of swallowing and suffocating from undigestable plastic, doesn't solve the toothbrushe,'trinket', water, product bottles packaging, etc-Green Plastics! Boo to petro-polyethelene-we have the tech, can be replaced with veg-resins. youtube - biobagusa - soon! Read Green Plastics! by Stevens.

  • ya we've been exploting the earth for this long, our societies are based to run off the rape and disregard of the planet, and as much as the public is begining to care, our goverments are too afraid to take any real action because it will be a huge transitition, but it will come either from gov mandates or the complete breakdown of all oil reliant societies

  • I hope you are aware, but they are also

using a plastic particle in all those

    thousands upon thousands of chemtrails

they have been spraying in the atmosphere.

The nanoparticles are made of metallic

silica oxides. Silica is mica. Their is more plastic in that ocean then

    just plastic bags.

The chemicals in the chemtrails, are a large part of that toxic plastic dust you speak of. Thank you for the video.

  • Thanks for this vid! Stop with plastic! We must help our planet, avoiding this!

  • this is tragic, we should get every single piece of trash and send it into space so our earth can be free and only use things that are recycable in society.

  • Well, alexmiddleton, when we started trashing our oceans, we thought that they were "bottomless". They turned out to be quite important and finite. I don't think we should take the same attitude towards the outer space around our planet, just because it seems to be a void. We should deal with our trash on our own - sending it to the outer space or Asia is not responsible or sustainable.

  • Yes but in the present we know that space is infinitely huge and big enough to launch something like this and keep it from crashing into other planets in space

  • Like in futurama

  • I guess.

  • @alexmiddleton4 I wish everyone recycled too...

  • Peace and LOve!

  • How about we fine the corporations and the oil co. that make this stuff.Pay up 50 trillion dollars.

  • 102,678;)

  • Thanks for sharing this video. It really shows how us human being are treating each other and the things that live around us. we need to stop using plasic.. GO GREEN and let the animales live..

  • great video - thanks

  • Well:

This is a real awsome video !

Especially the photos of the cadavered birds bones within the plastic !!

    Thanks for pointing this out.

5 ***** +++ and favourite, will share it to my friends on accasion

Keep up the good work !!

  • we keep all our plastic bags and give them back to the stores. but not many people would do the same thing..i try not to buy all the plastic containers. australia s working on banning plastic bags

  • The problem with recycling plastic bags is that, for the most part, they only have one or two recyclable lives before they have to be discarded. Unlike aluminum or glass or tin, each time plastic is recycled, its quality gets degraded, until it has to be disposed of. The only true solution is to use as little single-use plastics as possible.

  • the other problem is only 1 in every 20 plastic bag is recycled

  • @Hottidownunda1 I think there should be a ban on plastic bags everywhere. People have enough bags, you are right. I have a lot over here saved up too, and I am making the commitment to use a reusable bag from now on.

  • Excellent!! I'm trying to set up a recycling center now in our shop. This will push me to recycle every piece of plastic we have. Thank you everyone for sending this to me.

  • Everything made must be recyclable.

  • Just say no to plastic! Bring your own reusable bags to the store. I have ten of them that are washable and have a recycled/ reinforced bottom. Most grocery stores carry them now and they only cost a buck. We don't have to put our veggies in plastic bags at the store only to throw them away when we get home either and we can cut down on the amount of packaging we purchase by buying organic and local products. Don't forget to help clean up trash when you see it too. :)

    Go Green! Thanks!

    ~Peace

  • NEVER throw Plastics out, Recycle. - Penny

  • You can't imagine the amount of plastic bags and trash in the sea my kids and I collect every summer while swimming. People used to look at us strange, now they join us...

  • ExtremeAngels, thanks for picking up the trash! There are actually national and international cleanup events held at many cities, like the International Coastal Cleanup held in the Fall. You might want to see if there is one in your town, or organize your own.

  • Thanks CodeGeronimo for sharing this video & TurningTheTides for posting it ... I'll stop using plastic bags straight away.

  • Good for you, TillyFlop, each one of us not using plastic bags makes a big difference. Keep it up!

  • Thank you...I hate seeing those plastic bags all over the place...they last forever. Not good. Thank you again good video. No one can replace the American Indian.

  • Thank you i will stop using plastic bags now.

  • Alright, Gummerup, one family using canvas bags when shopping will save 400 plastic bags a year!

  • Weak people that just don't care about anything other than their own selfish needs and their fatted belly.

  • Its really sad to see us destroying some of the worlds most beautiful landscape! Thanks for the vid. Peace out

  • good vid thanks

  • great video

  • Dear Karen "PachydermPowerNP" thank you for sending this to me. This is beautiful, informative, teaching and not in the least confrontating. Indeed also the cape fur seals suffer so much of all the dirt thrown in the ocean. It is still not to late.

  • great post friend

  • Wow, what a wake up call. Thanks for posting TurningTheTides...Rod

  • tanks foor posting it, great

  • what a pollution really...I think this area is one that everybody agrees on,thanks for the upload

  • this was very good.

    michael

  • Such an important message, thank you for sharing. Until corporate business stops making plastic bags we can help by not using them. This film has powerful impact for positive change!!

  • Rockinfortheplanet, Thanks for your comment. The plastics manufacturers will continue making plastic bags and plastic bottles until consumers stop buying them. As almost all open markets, it's consumer-driven, so, ultimately it's up to us to determine whether plastic bags are sold or given away.

  • You are right, great vid. I remember when plastic & aluminum first came out in soda bottles it tasted like crap compared to the old glass bottles, that was a warning right there. I agree We all can work to be the solution and stop adding to the problem.

  • Thank you for making this video. I have a knot in my stomach from watching and knowing I am the problem. I will stop using and wasting plastic today. Thank you so much. I appreciate you calmness and facts. It made a very big impact on my emotional being. I will stop.

  • Mccarthy, thank you for your commitment. There are so many things we can do - stop using plastic bags, bring drinking water in our own container, carry our own set of fork, spoon and knife, bring our own containers for carry-out foods, etc.

  • Thank you

  • I just shared this video with my friends. I hope they will share it in turn. It is, I think, the simplest, strongest video on the subject I found yet. I already use cloth bags but we must find a way to limit the amount of plastics we put IN our cloth bags...let's work on that, for our kid's sake. AD, Canada

  • Aviendha, We are very glad you like our video. And thanks for being consciences of single-use plastics. This is definitely a grass-roots movement, but what an impact are we having! Communities, regions, countries are putting measure in effect to decrease and mitigate use of disposable plastics. Plastics manufacturers are certainly feeling the heat as they are hiring new PR people. They have even come out with a new product in response- oxo-bags, which is no better than their normal plastic bags.

  • I got directed to this Video from Susan Clark who works with Turning the Tides Organization. I am a Native Woman, Ojibway from Minnesota. I really liked the video interwove the Indigenous Alaskan's with their drumming and speaking in the video. I know that this is about our environment, (Water/Ocean) educational in it's purpose. It was very good, got directly to the point, it helped raise my awareness ! Thank you to all. Whirlwind Woman Minneapolis, MN.

  • Whirlwindwoman, thank you! This is what it will take - for all of us - no matter our country, religion, race to come together. We all live on our small fragile planet twirling in the Universe, and we need to work together to keep twirling inhabited by a great variety of cool critters, including us.

  • I will stop today !

Only metal, cloth and glass !

  • Great, Nancyleefrances! One person at a time is what it will take. We are making a difference!

  • I will stop today !
