1) You overpaid for your MBA.
2) You probably didn't take following courses while studying your MBA: a) risk-assessment and risk-management, b) probability & statistics, c) contingency evaluation, d) industry analysis techniques... and much more!

We have the same thing in Sweden for vocational degrees so people have to spend time conforming to the national 'standards' which can take time.
