... and this is good for survival ... how? Noise=noticed. I would want the quietest ride I can manage. Also smaller cc's = better mpg (less need for fuel and getting found) as well as lighter so if I need to, I can pick it up and throw it over a wall or put it on a raft. This is just more fevered internet fantasy.

If you really wanted to build a survival bike, you would've started off the build with a shaft drive that requires little to no maintenance and can last as long as a car as opposed to a chain that needs replacing and constant maintenance. And the loud exhaust defeats the survival mindset as well. You want to be quick, nimble, rugged, and silent as possible while maintaining ground clearance and capacity.

That said, it is a neat rat bike.

Excuse I loved it but I'd never owned a bike, a few things need explanation, despite I've been wandering around on the net couldn't find reliable quote. Why do you lower the seat: I supose it's only for sensations or does it help to perfom a better ride ? Bigger tank=more mileage ! Black paint= no cleaning. Look fit with some kind of Sound I like !

That is very nice. I like the more modern bikes but the older ones are usually more reliable and cheaper but the looks can be appalling. Seeing how those old bikes can be customized with some ingenuity and hard work makes me want to spend the 750-1000 for one of this oldies.

I agree, those older jap cruisers are the shit on gravel for a streetbike. I think youd probably want a very quiet exhaust though. Better for getaways, hunting, and just all around not being noticed, and performance.

High revs to get torque = very crappy in the dirt. You want high torque at low revs for dirt like they do in a Jeep Wrangler inline 6 in 4x4 low for survival use. That's if you go off the asphalt.
