I went to the first 3 home games last year. What impressed me most about Matt Ryan is how quickly he makes a decision. On many passes the ball was out of his hands before the receiver makes his cut. On a few plays I would think "why throw it there?? he's not open!!". Moments later the receiver makes his break, turns his body and the ball is right at his hands. His timing, accuracy, and the ability to read the play was pretty amazing not to mention this was only a rookie.

*sigh* Vick was a wonderful QB. Dunn wasn't old he was the greatest RB the Falcons ever had. Hall, don't get me started on him. Horn wasn't THE BEST WR, but he was good. Crumpler, was a terrific WR, and their passing game isn't the same without him. Falcons are going down in a spiral to the ground, means as if on a line graph, since 2005, they have dropped big time.

One player can turn a team around, but in this case i think it was Turner just as much as Ryan... Ryan did do a really good job for a rookie, and he was the leader of the team. Anyway, they really just made each other better. Its easier to pass with good running and easier to run with good passing... But anyway Matt Ryan did become the face of the franchise , but he got some help.

Whatever your NFC south team may be can relate right,?when they lost their game at the dome. 1.They were on a hot streak.
2.1 fumble at start of 3rd qtr
3. 1 blown coverage by two falcons LBs on 3rd and long.
Falcons didnt even lose by that much...

I was a big michael Vick fan so I alwyas resented Matt Ryan but now I see what all the buzz is about this kid is sick for a rookie. His pocket awareness, accuracy and deep ball strength is crazy. He did more with those garbage receivers than most would have. Respect Matt Ryan you a baller.

Roddy white does suck and if he was half an average receiver the falcons would of won a superbowl with that same crappy qb. Please teach me to understand how a qb who misses the playoffs once in his career carrying a team with a subpar defense and recievers who led the league in drops in two of his last three years is crappy. And last season roddy white barely had over a 1000 yards which is about 65 yards a game so it's not like he was a pro bowler. He was sucky option on a sucky team.

roddy white was a pro bowler last year.and he hjad almost 1,400 receiving yards which is 87 yards a game 3rd in yards in 2008 thts says it all . i was a big mike vick fan. but ryan is a better qb than mike ever was

I agree. Chris Redman...Let me recap NavaGator29...CHRIS FREAKIN REDMAN was Roddy White's QB in 2007. Bobby Petrino was his coach...Roddy White put up MONSTER numbers that year. Better than any year he had Vick under center. I'm a Mike Vick fan, but Matt Ryan and even Chris Redman are better passers than Vick.

11-5 Last season. Matching the Same record Vick posted in his NFC championship run. As in in Matt Ryans Rookie season he posted an equivalent record to Vicks best? *sigh* Vick was a wonderful QB. Dunn wasn't old he was the greatest RB the Falcons ever had. Hall, don't get me started on him. Horn wasn't THE BEST WR, but he was good. Crumpler, was a terrific WR, and their passing game isn't the same without him. Falcons are going down in a spiral to the ground, means as if on a line graph, since 2005, they have dropped big time.
