  • 1 hamster wheel per axis?

  • Thumbs up if you just thumbed up those two Top Comments

  • awsome

  • Wow, good job, but try to have some rubber stoppers between the blue base and the metal parts of the rail. That should minimize the noise level.

  • You've got 99% of a reprap machine there. Just get a print head and start 3D printing!

  • i'm scared daddy.. make it stop!

  • OMG IT'S THAT U F O SATELLITE SEEN AND PHOTOGRAPHED FROM SKYLAB.EXACT SAME RED DOT BEFORE THE OUT OF FOCUS CREATES A SPACESHIP! YOUR DOT LOOKS LIKE A UFO NEXT TO THE CUTTING TOOL!

  • what is it making? Did it complete the drilling of the item it is making? How did the finished product look after it was through drilling?

  • Thats awesome, how did you program it, it looks really cool and straightforward and awesome, could you put some plans on how to make it and program it, thanks

  • That's pretty cool! I would love to see more of this!

  • DUDE, this machine is AWESOME..... you can use this machine to cut nails and some other hard to cut sh i t......

I almost forgot to say that the sound reminds me on keyboard when i play tetris...... hahahahahah, epic xD :D :D

  • nice machine , good job

  • Now just think what you could build dropping some money on these.

  • Genious

  • That's pretty cool

  • looks a little rickety, like jonspink said, but it shows you can get it working, now you just need to make a stronger one that is tougher... and stronger, and hook your equipment up and there you go.

  • I wish I could make something like that.

  • fine machine !

is it a free project with an open plan and open source code ?

Or an URL for have any informations about mecanic and electronic and sofware.

    thanks for this good video.

  • uhhh yeah, that's pretty low cost...

Though sadly I would have to say it seems pretty useless as an actual machine.

Why are the stepper motors making flapping sounds?

  • hello , could u pleas send info on the price of u contructing one for someone, and contact info, my name is chandler, thanks

  • epic sound at 1:08

  • IS A TIME MACHINE!!!!

  • sounds noisey

  • Hey it works! Where does the large sound come from? Are you using the 2 cd drives to work against each other for more control?

  • And why does it seem to make each stage return to home, EVERY time it has to make a movement? Is it forgetting it's current location, x & y ?

If that could be fixed, and the 'thinking time' maybe the video & drilling job would only take 30sec!

  • I think it would bu much quicker to drill a PCB by hand! But good onya for trying. You need to fix the noise problem, and the delay between actions. Is it just thinking ? The diagonally mounted z axis needs a bit more support, it looks like you could bump it, and it'd fall over. Also, perhaps, a bit of 'shaping' on the z axis coming down, looks like it's being forced too hard, as the drill bit enters the PCB.

  • cool dude job well done

  • hahaha; I love it, thanx man, I get it hehe. my birds have to have every tool, machine and things we do with our hands and fingers explained if they don't understand. So thanx again for the educational fun.

  • that thing is a piece of shit, i wouldnt use that in a machine shop, get some hp. so u can cut through something hard like 1080 steel

  • Don't be too harsh on his project, it is not capable of much, but extra points for his time and effort.. Price - $50

My toy is 3 x 1.5M waterjet cutter capable of cutting 150 mm steel hardened to 65 Rockwell or glass which is even harder, probably about 130 Rockwell or more..

    Price - $500 000

Horses for courses my friend... horses for courses

  • @bearsvspackers90 CNCs are not use only for BIG METAL PARTS stupid.. and it's good for a star.. and ps

I make a lot more profit with a this like CNCrouter than you'll do with some heavy powerful bullshit cnc ;)

  • @bearsvspackers90 can the one you built cut through steel? I bet your first attempt was much better you genius.

  • Yay, you´ve just invented a typewriter!!

Keep up the good work :)

  • well done mate...keep the good work

  • Sound is awesome! :-D

    Ta-ta-ta-ta-ta-ta-ta-ta

  • do you know how can i connect a bipolar motor to my pc and what do i need ?

    can you make a video?

    tnx

  • to connect a bipolar stepper to your pc you need an interface card and a stepper driver. Most common interface boards use parallel port. Software to control the stepper can be written by you or use mach3 or another software.

  • You made that in high school.Well done.

  • A bigger one can be used to replace Old Smokey if you know what I mean.

  • so how cheap was it?

  • Very Nice! YOU are very talented!

  • Thank you for your thoughts, very kind of you

  • hmm..this model would be good for soldering, screwing and drilling boards...very nice job

  • Thank you for your thoughts

  • thats a brilliant machine well done. it is a bit rickety but the principle is there. dont listen to people trying to put you down that dont have the skills to make something like this and just critisize others

  • hmm yes, it can mill paper and cheese!!!! WOW

  • @Axel2989 Hey! Don't get too ambitious! It would be quicker to get a snail to mill the paper & a mouse to mill the cheese! :)

  • lol :D

  • Can it mill too ?

  • are you even using a drillbit?

  • Well you've got the low-cost part nailed down (besides, nails are cheaper than screws). Now you just need to work on the cnc part.

  • sounds like roller coaster

  • good work. wish you have used a more rigid extruded material.

  • sounds like a woodpecker

  • tebrikler...

lise de ögrenci olanakları ile oldukça güzel

  • rätätätätätätätätätät xD

  • klackklackklackklackklackklack

  • klackklackklackklackklackklack

  • klackklackklackklackklackklack

  • the sound is horrible XD

  • @XTwina I would really like to know what he did wrong. Both stages seem to have this problem!

  • saludos amigo tu idea esta genial por eso te doy 5 estrellas pero dime una cosa que es ese ruido que hace tan fuerte como ametralladora, saludos

  • Looks like you got the theory down good. Next step, buy an old Bridgeport and retro fit. Good job!

  • sound like one of them old golopta golopta machines

  • muy bueno

  • out of pc drives nice

  • It can be scalled up I guess, but as is, it looks like it can drill electronic component boards

  • Wow. Excellent job!

  • very nice but, why does it sound like an old car?

  • @danielfp3692000 An old car nearly ran over it, but it missed and this machine is so very HAPPY! :)

  • Good job btw!

  • Is it the motors making that nachine gun noise?

  • WHat is it good for?

  • Nice work.

You wrote it has 5 steppers. Does the X and Y axis have a stepper at each end?

Do the opposite steppers work together or is only

one pushing or pulling while the other idles?

Is there more media concerning this rig?

    A worklog or photoalbum, maybe?

  • @Fruktodlaren it should only need 3

  • are those disc drives?

  • Not bad at all.
