  • Great sound design and music , but stupid gameplay. If you are role-.playing why the hell should you give commands to your character in battle let alone characters you´re not even roleplaying as.If I am roleplaying I want to control my character in battle, thank you very much Bethesda.

  • @Halindir If you are going to critisize my statement, I´d respect you would do it were it is appropriate, like my last line about Bethesda, when it´s clearly Bioware who is responsible for the game. Your comment otherwise is appropriate and offensive...but tthat´s because you are a complete idiot....

  • dont care i just posted a few random games (dont care who made them, one company or another) and what i think about them, thats just my opinion , and ye i liked NWN 2, so if you have a problem.... well... dont care :)

  • I wish that BioWare and Obsidian would unite once more and create a new RPG. Maybe it will be as awesome like Baldurs Gate Saga.

  • @ToughGuyver Not possible, the demon's of Electronic arts had locked Bioware in it's cage were the only thing it can do is make games. So it cannot unite with anything or anyone.I'm very sorry then but your wish cannot come true unless EA falls on knees before ActivisionBlizzard or other giant like Ubisoft and let Bioware run on it's own or be sold to another company, a more kind company.

  • @gothicfan51

Why are you afraid of EA? Bethesda is the ultimate ruler in RPG business. They only have to buy the D&D license from Atari and hire BioWare and Obsidian to do new D&D titles like Baldur's Gate 3 or Icewind Dale 3. They did it with Fallout, of course they will do it with BG and ID! This future will come!

  • @ToughGuyver It's not that I'm afraid of EA (definitely not after Dragon Age II) but that they own Bioware which means that the only way for Bethesda to get Bioware is to buy it from Electronic Arts; EA isn't a company that sells things cheap. Also do you want to know why BG3 that was planned earlier was never made? It's because of Atari having the licence and making it impossible for Bioware to make a game where they get good profit. However it us possible to acquire Obsidian entertainment.

  • @gothicfan51

I still hope for a new Forgotten Realms singleplayer adventure made by BioWare/Obsidian. Hopefully it will be available when I finished playing Icewind Dale 2 and Neverwinter Nights 1+2 with Addons.^^

  • in the inn you can make it so firebeard elevenhair or whatever his name is can get stuck between the chair and talbe while chasing you. So I would buy a sling for my mage and walk in and out till he was out of spell then trap him and kill him.

    import

    export

    import

    export

this theme was stuck in my head

soon you're like lvl 5 and can kill eveyone in candlekeep :3

  • tell ya what nabs, u know shit about games :) Baldur's Gate = 10/10 Galdur's Gate 2 = 10/10 Icewind Dale = 8/10 Icewind Dale 2 = 7/10 Planescape Torment = 10/10 Dragon Age = 4/10 Dragon Age 2 = 5/10 Mass Effect = 4/10 Mass Effect 2 = 5/10 Neverwinter Nights = 8/10 Neverwinter Nights 2 = 7/10
  • @60groszy And neither do you, if you think Bioware had anything to do with Planescape: Torment (that was Interplay, if I remember correctly) or NWN2 (Obsidian).

  • @Alakazambarapoof Add to that Icewind Dale 1&2, made by Black Isle. And he didn't mention the superb KOTOR1

    @60groszy

ME1 a 4 while you give NWN2 a 7? You didn't play the games, or you are just posing like a cool guy just by thrashing new games. NWN2 was awful, and that ending...

Icewind Dale was kind of mediocre, pure hack&slash, without plot, freedom of choice, and just borrowing elements from Salvatore's novels. It was a title just to give something to the fans until BG2 came out.

  • @Alakazambarapoof Actually, Torment was developed by the great late Black Isle Studios, using the Infinity Engine, wich was created by Bioware for Baldur's Gate. Both studios worked together on Baldur's Gate. Interplay was the publisher for both studios back then. Then Interplay died, Black Isle died, EA bought Bioware and former Black Isle dudes created Obsidian. They are all connected. So Bioware does deserve some minor credit for Torment...

  • The infinity engine ruled, I wish they'd make more (good) games with it. Oh, and listening to this music will put hair on your chest.

  • Baldur's Gate was a great game with great music (it's why I'm on this page) but I'm glad that not every game Bioware has made since has just rehashed it over and over. I realize this is heresy to nerds.

  • Baldur's Gate owned all cRPG games

  • @PioAli

    Planescape: Torment disagrees.

  • @PioAli Planescape: Torment owns all cRPGs

    *fixed* :)

  • @Verethan You should definetely look around Youtube for an interview with Chris Avellone where he talks about how he came up with his ideas for Torment. It's pretty cool stuff.

  • Baldur's Gate was f**king awesome... I never did care for BG2 though (I know, I'm weird). DA:O was beyond epic. Best RPG I'd ever played... until I played Mass Effect 2 with my renegade imported from ME1. Holy s**t man.

BioWare is the best game company ever.

  • ...in the days when the theme itself was so epic you'd just start up this game and let it idle on the main-menu to hear this loop <3

  • i know baldur's gate: dark alliance isn't nearly as good a game as this, but i prefer its main theme to this one.

  • R.I.P Interplay. :(

  • Reroll Reroll Reroll Reroll Reroll Reroll Reroll Reroll Reroll Reroll Reroll Reroll
  • I'd be like, hey I just found an awesome Half plate + 4 for Minsc, but he's at the tavern waiting. I'll RP a moment in my head where I run in the door and I'm like surprise, and he's all like BY BOOS LITTLE BEARD!!!

So in Dragon Age 2, I'm like, why can't I take off this bitch's shirt? There are like 20 items in Dragon Age 2, it's a fucking pisstake.

  • 8 man doesn't feel this is their rightful place

  • I feel nostalgic when they heard this, no doubt for me has been the best game ever, along with its expansions and sequels

  • must... REVEEEEEEEEEEEEENGE

  • best game ever

  • my brothers had baldur's gate and baldur's gate 2 and i remember looking at the back of the disc holder thing and i thought they looked so cool, but never got to play it to this day. :( anyone know how i could without re-buying them?

  • @Lucky466 I used to play the HELL out of Baulders Gate 2. I just ordered Baudlers gate 1 off of ebay for $10 including shipping. You could perhaps try to download a torrent for it.

  • hardest bossfight ever... sarevok, tazok and that other motherfucker I cant remember. Almost impossible.

  • @drizzid Angelo and Semaj (or something). Angelo is the bitch.

  • @drizzid Hah, absolutely! Basically the only way to do it was spam the shit out of Sarevok with Summon Monster spells and wands, and have evryone attack him with ranged weapons. No other way.

  • Anyone else think a part of the Lord of the Rings soundtrack sounds like this? It's the part where the Urukai (sp?) are coming after the fellowship.

  • @weestro7 Alot of Dungeon's and Dragons came from Lord of the Rings books, and alot of Dunegons and Dragons pen and papers made alot of good western RPG games (like Baldur's gate) which in turn ALOT of people who probbaly made Lord of the Ring movies played... so if anything the music would sound similar.

  • man...simpler times...i loved it

  • I will put BG2 and planescape:Torment as the same par;-)

  • BG1&BG2 > NWN > Dragon Age 2 > Dragon Age > NWN2 > Awakening

  • BG was the first RPG I've ever played ... it's the best RPG saga in my opinion, amazing music, epic storyline ... just beyond the words how much I love BG and BG2 :))

  • Baldurs Gate 1 and 2 and NWN 1: EPIC! 10/10

Dragon Age Origins&Awakening: Great but not nearly as good as those above. 7-8/10

Dragon Age 2? Bioware should be ashamed of it! Seriously it is one of the most disappointing games i have ever played. 4/10.

  • @Mannetasi NWN2 actually was awesome as well, and the characters there are rich and deep in personality

But i would recommend you try out Planescape:Torment as it was another epic and unique game from Black Isle

  • @SubBlaze1 i havent played NWN 2 that much because the controls annoys me but sure i loved that they added more classes and more feats.

As for Planescape:Torment i have it too and its awsome too. Though i havent finished it yet.

  • @Mannetasi

the great thing for PS:T is that they actually made charisma, wisdom and intelligence relevant in the game, with high charisma, i manage to convince most of the lesser bosses to abandon attacking me, and they actually let high intelligence to sail through multiple puzzle without fighting;-)

  • @Mannetasi Choosing your character's portrait, and not every individual facial feature, was better I think, as it allowed us to use our friggin imaginations (what made these games so awesome). Whatever happened to choosing the voices for characters too? Male Mage 1 IWD best voice ever. TO THE PAIN!!

They destroyed the requirement for an imagination in Dragon Age Origins, and then stamped on the remains of it in Dragon Age 2 by removing the player's ability to customize the party. Shameful move.

  • @Mannetasi Sorry to spam two replies to you here, but I have to state how long I played these games. As an effigy of how they are failing.

Baldur's Gate 1: Around a year I played this, completing the storyline within a week or so, but keeping playing to create more characters, just roleplaying to myself.

Shadows of Amn: 3 years, no joke. Every romance, every different path.

Dragon Age: A couple of months.

Dragon Age 2: I completed it and uninstalled it within two days.

  • @rogerthat155

I myself i played Baldurs Gate 1 and 2 and NWN 1 SO much as a kid and i still love them.

    My favorite: NWN HOU.

NWN 2 is awsome too but i didnt enjoy it as much because i didnt like the controls and NWN 1 looks better in some ways. Which is probably why i still havent finished it.

DAO & A: Played it though a couple of times. I acually think the story of DAO was one of the VERY FEW things DAO did better than BG1&2 & NWN.

    Dragon Age 2: Awaiting Execution(uninstallation).

  • @rogerthat155 I STILL go through the BG series every year, completeing every single path, (good, evil, neutral) each sidequest, doing a solo run, and eventually getting my friends in a group to play either BG or IWD... I have done this for 5 years running and I still am amazed each time at how well done the game was. Can't say that about IWD, or really any other Bioware game IMO.

Preferred KOTOR 2 to 1, and later found out it was made by Obsidian which employed a number of ex-black isle people.

  • @Chronische really? i hated kotor 2. and how did you not find out until later it was made by obsidian? it says who made it when you start the game.

  • @ProdigalSon16 Never bothered to really look until recently.

  • @Mannetasi I find DA2 was better than DA: O. The characters were more interesting, the Qunari made much, much more interesting enemies than the Darkspawn did, and I found the story better. DA: O's story was, IMO, cliche after cliche. If it wasn't for the well developed world (which I like), I don't think I'd find DA worth remembering.

To me, comparing either DA to either BG is like comparing the fighting prowess of an infant to that of a Spetsnaz.

  • @Ghostwind I think saying that DA2 is better than DAO is just a slap in the face to true rpgs such as BG 1&2, NWN 1&2 and SWKOTOR 1&2 dude.

The characters may have been better in some ways in DA2 but that was the ONLY thing that was better!

The story just sucks dude. It never got a little intresting until the end of the game and Qunari wasnt a big part of the game.

But by far the worst thing in DA2 is: In a sequel to an RPG i want MORE things to do and DA2 gave us even lesser things to do!!

  • @Mannetasi Why? Because it had more stats to deal with? What made those games great wasn't their mechaanics, it was the narrative. For instance, the D&D system worked great with BG and NWN, but in KotOR, they made for repetitive and dull gameplay, and firefights looked absolutely retarded. It's saved by its great story. DA: O was the opposite: great gameplay, dull story.

As for DA2's story, it could have been better, but I liked it more than DA: O.

And the Qunari were 2/3 of the game.

  • @Ghostwind1 (Part 1) Compare the:

Character creation of DA2 to BG2 and NWN 1 and 2. WAAAAY more stuff to do with your characters.

The battles: BG2 and NWN 1''s combat is already far superior to the combat in DAO.

Yes combat in DA2 looks cool but its just lazy.(you know what thats a really good word to describe DA2: lazyness)Its always the same thing: reinforcements all the fucking time!

In BG2 you cant just go around bashing everything you see. You need some strategy.

  • @Ghostwind1 Part 2

Spells and Items: Do i even have to say anything about this one?! About 40 spells in both DAO and DA2. And about 400 spells in BG2 and NWN 1 and 2.

And the items pretty much rape the items of DAO & 2.

Exploration and stuff: I shouldnt have to say much here ether: EVERY F**KING DUNGEON IN DA2 IS NOT ONLY LAZY(again you need to think and explore in many of the dungeons in BG2) BUT LOOKS EXACTLY THE SAME!!! And you return to the same old and boring areas though the entire game.

  • @Ghostwind1 Part 3

Main Quests: The ONLY memorable one was in the first act in the deep roads. The boss battle with that giant golem thing was acually pretty cool. But other than that its again LAZY!

Sidequests: The entire game is basiclly 80% of lazy sidequests!!!!

The Story: It feels like playing two diffrent expansion packs/DLCs without support of the main game. Theres barley anything that connects the acts and it just gets somewhat good in the end. Its just a mess and its way to rushed.

  • @Ghostwind1 Part 4

The Characters is the ONLY thing the improved and its the reason i give it 4/10! In the Personality and Backstory department DAO was a bit better but i liked the idea of giving them diffrent abilites.

We all know Bioware can do MUCH better!

But EA? I might like some of their games but RPGs are NOT their thing. They are pretty much making Bioware a shadow of their former self!

I think Bioware should stop working with EA and make DA 3 with Obsidian like they did 10 years ago.

  • @Mannetasi meh, i thought ea did okay with mass effect 2

  • @Mannetasi So your point is that BG1/2 is better than DA? I completely agree. I thought I made that clear. BG2 is my favorite game of all time.

While I like DA2, I completely agree about the reused environments. That sucked.

And saying all the problems with Bioware are because of EA is just stupid. It was under EA that Bioware game us Mass Effect, which is amazing in pretty much every way, and is miles better than KotOR.

  • @Ghostwind1 Well dont get me wrong Mass Effect 2(havent playet played the first one) was a great game but i dont think that its a very strong rpg and that KOTOR 2 is WAY better.

    KOTOR 2? 8-9/10

    Mass Effect 2? 6-7/10

Speaking of it what do you exactly have against the two games?

  • @Mannetasi KotOR? I'm just not a particularly big fan of Star Wars. They were good games, but Mass Effect's universe is much, much better. Gameplay makes more sense, too. The D&D system works fine for medieval-type gameplay like BG, but they made KotOR's firefights look beyond retarded. The shooter gameplay in Mass Effect looks and plays much better.

So, for me, those ratings should be reversed. That's my personal opinion, and you're free to disagree.

  • @Ghostwind1 I'm a huge star wars fan (hell I even liked force unleashed) but i agree with you 100% that Mass Effect is much better than Knight of the Old Republic.

  • @Mannetasi

    I still play Baldur's Gate/2 yearly.

I haven't played Dragon Age much since release.

    Nostalgia goggles? I think not!

  • @Mannetasi

    neverwinter nights OC is dull.

it's 7/10 at most for the mods and online play.

  • @Mannetasi what about icewind dale and nwn 2

  • @rickyirishman Icewind dale was a great spinoff or whatever you wanna call it but BG1 and 2 is still better.

NWN 2 is great too but i like NWN 1 more mainly because of the controls which i had a really hard time getting used too. I still havent finished it btw.

  • @Mannetasi

Dragon Age = This happens when BioWare is working without Black Isle Studios

  • @Mannetasi 4/7 are you fuckin kidding me? In my opinion this was one of the worse RPG I played (even worser then dagger-dale) this piece of monkey shit should be extremely lucky if it got a 2/10. Also I think that DA 1 and Awakaning should get a point lower because of the fucking EA that releases thousands of DLC's that cost at least 50$, Awakening is a DLC itself and costs the same as the original game. EA uses it's customer's as cows, get all of the money out just as milk, just to get rich.

  • @gothicfan51 umm hold on a second here. .. 4/7 what are you talking about?

I assume you mean the fact that i gave DA2 4/10 right?

    Well let me explain myself:

+1: The Spells at least looked cool and the Champions Armor.

+0,5-1: The Story was good at times though very few times.

+2,5: Some Great Characters like: Anders and Fenris. I also loved the idea of giving them Unique spells(sure some are basiclly ripoffs of other spells but still).

  • @Mannetasi true... but thats the thing... Game company's will never exceed the quality of the game (or series of games) that established them as a household name in the Industry...

    Bioware never exceeded Baldurs Gate

    Bungie will never exceed Halo

    Valve never exceeded Half Life

Bethesda will never exceed the Elderscrolls (III)

  • @enterprise0709 seems: "money over creativity" is the motto nowadays...

  • @enterprise0709 Bioware exceeded BG with KOTOR & Mass Effect & DA:O

Bungie: Their next game ain't even out yet.

Valve: Only if they ever release Half Life 3

Bethseda: With the way people talk about Skyrim, I -really- think otherwise.

  • The nostalgia is overwhelming

  • per me è il miglior gioco nella storia dei giochi per pc

Baldur's Gate is the best game I've ever played

  • Baldur's Gate is Epic!

  • They may not always have a good story but they are more immersive, and have more detail and lore than any other games I've played. They've even have four different languages developed for just a game.I honestly don't why everyone says their story sucks.I thought the fourth was pretty good.

  • Epic music. BG was my first game, that I bought for my own money. Its cca 10 years ago, but I stiil play it sometimes, great game.

  • @Teggethoff

Me too.. And i loved every bit of it. Best purchase ever.

  • "Montaron, you are so aggravating! 'Tis disturbing to my demeanor!"

  • is this game good?

i just played dragon age 1 and kotor 1 and i LOVED them and now im thinking about testing baldurs gate. but i never played an d&d game before ...

  • @Ir0nstorm

Baldurs gate saga is a must have for every real RPG fan dude. If you dont worry about old graphic , go buy it.

  • @Ir0nstorm

It is different to modern games, and it takes getting used to. Isometric perspective and text-based conversations aren't for everyone, as are the old graphics.

Of course, it's still a very good game, but I've seen people being turned off by that.

  • @apsdil BG2 is still a beautifull game, DA is ugly as hell.

  • @Ir0nstorm yes it is very good but Baldurs Gate 2 is by far the best game in the series (better than KOTOR and MUCH better than dragon age). BG1 is still very good (kotor is better), but BG2 is Biowares best game by a mile and is a masterpiece. the d&d stuff is mostly hidden. play Planescape Torment as well cos that is untouchable and completely rapes any of Biowares recent stuff. actually its the best rpg ever so play it.

  • @dageezerboi TES destroys those all

  • @TheLoneDragon1 only if you like boring empty games without a story..

  • @dageezerboi Morrowind was one of the best games I've ever played. After 7 years it had LOADS of secrets in the world I could discover, it never gets boring. But yeah, Oblivion and prodably Skyrim are boring empty games without a story. Also, Morrowind and Daggerfall had the most viable and exotic lore ever made, Oblivion raped it and left it to die, Skyrim will do the same.

  • @Oskareczekeczek WOW! YOU CAN SEE INTO THE FUTURE?

  • @gogman25 No, I can deduct from all the materials Bethesda showed yet. Also, I added prodably, there, didn't I?

  • @Oskareczekeczek Yes great seer of wisdom, judging on a small amount of content in comparison to a huge game that we haven't even seen in depth! You are a man of wisdom!

  • @Ir0nstorm Play it. Just do it.

I'm an avid WoW player these days, I play a lot of other games too, and I love good graphics.

But nothing beats going back and playing through the entire game of BG + TotSC, BG2 + ToB, IWD + HoW, PS:T.

Those are the greatest games of all time.

    Ever.

  • 7 people and their lackeys refused to step aside and be unhurt

  • I will be the last... AND YOU WILL GO FIRST.

  • Go for the eyes, Boo! Go for the eyes! Ruuuusk!

  • @Nibbenyo lol ... loved Minsk!

  • They can keep their 'Heaven'. When I die, I want to go to Faerun, Middle Earth or Westeros.

  • @lshaw17 Why would you want to go to Westeros? It's like the worst place ever.

  • @GentlemanOrcus1 Mainly as I love A Song of Ice and Fire and I Just want to slap Joffrey

  • Why didn't they keep this composer for Dragon Age?

  • i hereby pledge to get my (as yet nonexistent) kids to play both baldur's gates before they're 16, LONG LIVE BALDUR'S GATE!

  • I started playing this when I was six or seven. Needless to say, I wasn't sure what to do. I ploughed my way through with Algernon's Cloak and the dialogue improved my vocabulary. I will always remember where I learned the word 'snare' and 'draconian' from.

  • @Igglesnoop Yes! I learned so many words from this game! Who said computer games rot your brain?

  • Played the hell out of this game when I was 12 and got crazy with the infinity engine a year after that. :P

    Good times.

  • So awesome.. they don't make games like they used to.

  • There are older RPGs than this you know (like Wizardry, Wasteland, Ultima series) :p

  • @darthbandon10 They aren't like this game though.

  • The best game of all times. After a few years, I installed it a couple days ago. Finished BG1 + BG2 with datadisks in 4 days of hard work :D

  • Ah, brings back vivid memories of clicking the ability reroll button until I got a decent score, storing it and then trying again. Continuing to try until I got the "best score"... or until I zoned out so much that I forgot which class I chose, recalled the scores and distributed them for a Fighter/Mage instead of a Druid... great..Ah the days when I had time to waste.

  • Aw :( I almost start to cry, when i hear this, cause this has so many damn mamories ;((

  • @LowerDistrict Can't agree more.

  • The sheep haven't been putting out lately.

  • 7 people killed by Drizzt

  • Go for the eye, go for the EYE, RASKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKK!!!!

  • @RiseofBane AND THE RIVERS RUN REEED!!

  • 7 people didn't gather their party before venturing forth.

  • @gayhustla117 Seven people were waylaid by enemies, and couldn't defend themselves.

  • @gayhustla117 This is the only variation of that theme that actually made me laugh. Hard.

  • @Reachwun Yeah, occasionally you find a good one, but I think most people agree that most variations blow.

  • @gayhustla117 OHMG that's the best "X people didn't..." I have ever seen!!!

  • Wow! Listened to this about 4 years completing Baldurs gate II and maybe 10-12 years seeing the f**king Conan movie with Arnold. Honestly, say what you want about the film (showing my european descent), but goddamit,Basil Poledouris, is a master of movie music... and this song wouldn't exist without him...

  • whoa......... feels like i've travelled back in time to when i was a witless teenager with lot's of spare time,

remember when i used to run home from school just to sneek play this on my brother computer before he came home and yelled at me for playing his game haha aaaahhh ..... precious childhood memories :D

  • dragon age is so like Baldur's Gate 2. you know, killing people and dragons. the only difference is that the end boss it a dragon and the story is more boring

  • @simfamSP And bethesda... I hope they will do better work with skyrim than they did with oblivion. The game mechanics were pretty good but the story, oh the story...

  • The ambient drums chugging along, the blaring brass, the ominous choir, the slow-moving chord progression... the perfect musical recipe to complement a wonderful game. :)

  • One of the Best RPG's of All Time. And now it's been forgotten in favor of more 'Popular' Games, really just First-Person shooters with NO RPG Element at all. WHERE HAS THE GAMING WORLD GONE, PEOPLE? WHERE???

  • For me, AD&D is way better than D&D 3, 3,5 or any other edition.

You really had a satisfaction about creating your own hero.

  • i got to admit it, t,he 1st Baldur's was so epic, so... so... i'm about to cry, come on ! Make an other one a TRUE one, even with the D&D2 play system, i will be fine with it, i need to hear Elminster voice one more time...

  • @vivi75mdr To be honest, you don't need to have AD&D to hear Elminster's voice again. He could be in any game set in the Forgotten Realms, regardless of the edition the game is based on.

He could show up in the next Neverwinter game for alls we know. He's also been around for well over 100 years, so you never know ^^

  • Dragon age is just....*yaaaaaaaaaaaawn*

  • Hell! Bioware should check comments at any website round the world and think about this, what people write about quality of Baldur's Gate vs Dragon Age & Mass Effect.

And get back to their past methods of building a story and anything else.

  • @SzybkiBen1

    No.

  • @SzybkiBen1 They should yes but they couldn't with this even if they wanted to, Atari holds all rights to the Baldur's Gate franchise now ._.

  • BG 1 theme crits Lich King "invincible" track for 233 damage.

    Lich King "Invincible" track dies.

BG 1 theme recieved 5000 experience!

  • @Panczekolada, even with Muzyka's 'awesome button' you won't be awesome enough to tell anybody, that they're not awesome enough to have this played at their funerall. Get back to WoW and stop annoying people. It's going to be played at my funeral. Howgh!

  • Series BG is better than series Dragon Age. Music awesome, Minsc better, Boo the best.

  • @tobi21PL No.

  • Yes, BG Kick Ass.

  • @SzybkiBen1 No.

  • You have been waylaid by enemies and must defend yourself

  • If I ever have to walk seriously down a long hallway, I want this music to be playing. Seriously, BG was awesome!

  • Ahhh... I remember that I was sick of this theme every time after I rolled dices for the 1000th time or something trying to create an ideal character right from the beginning. But every time I listen to it, I start to weep - WHY BALDUR'S GATE HAD TO END?! It was the best Role-Playing Game I've ever played. I liked Neverwinter Nights, but it wasn't the same. And honestly, Dragon Age is a piece of s**t compared to BG. But it's only my opinion :)

  • @LotharMeyer

No, it´s my opinion too. ;)

  • @delta2ish I don't think they could fail Baldur's Gate. Oh, for me - Neverwinter Nights 2 was a good game, better than the first Neverwinter Nights.

I think, they just need longer beta tests to their games.

If not Obsidian, maybe you preffer Bethesda? ;> ;P

    Just kidding.

  • I wish this was the anthem of my country :P

  • This theme will be played at my funeral.

Baldur's Gate rocks! And Obsidian should make a new Baldur's Gate. World of cRPGs need the KING,

  • @SzybkiBen1 Obsidian? What you want tham to make another Sequil to a Bioware game so they can fail again?

  • @SzybkiBen1

With all due respect... You are not awesome enough to have this one played at your funeral. People say same stuff about "Invincible" track from the final raid of Wrath of the Lich King in WoW.

  • Przed wyruszeniem w drogę należy zebrać drużynę. (google translate it)

  • hehe 6 people did not gather their party before venturing forth :D

  • 6 people will have their asses raped by Sarevok's 18/00 fist.

  • Best RPG, Baldur's Gate, Baldur's Gate 2, Fallout, fallout 2 and Planescape Torment.

  • i want BG 3 and i want it to be 2D graphics please :(

  • As soon as this music starts, you KNOW you are about to play an epic game.

  • this still gives me goosebumps

  • İs there a option in this game where my companions will auto-follow me ?

  • I want isometric BG3 with korgan edwin and kivan.

  • @ darthbandon10 It's Bhaal's symbol. He's somewhat of a central figure of the series.

  • Heh, time for a little bit of the rough and tumble!

  • There sure are a lot of skull images in BG :p

  • @darthbandon10 I know. try actually being in Baldurs gate in real D&D >.> every wheres i turn there is a skull starring at me

  • Go for the eyes, Boo, go for the eyes! RAAAAAAAAASSK!

  • So awesome when you hear this song in Saverok's room.

  • Onward!

  • No the game is not so good like Gohtic!!!

  • Is there ANYONE who thinks Dragon Age has similar feeling to Baldur's Gate?

  • @Oskareczekeczek Baldur's Gate is Epic with years of creation of Forgotten realms (Drizzt, Elminstes, Volo who all are at least mentioned in BG).

Dragon Age appeared out of nowhere and is mostly aimed at the current crowd, hit with pop culture so hard, they glow in the dark.

I didn't live during the glory days of fantasy, unfortunately, but I can at least tell which game is the good game and which is a game that clings to the better one just to sell itself as much as it can.
