Nice tank! I respect your herp knowledge, but I just gotta tell you some tips:
1. Species mixing is a really bad idea, go on caudata culture (google it) and look for the species mixing article.
2. The water, you'll have to siphon it. Toads and Spotted Salamanders are pretty terrestrial out of breeding season, so a water bowl would be easier. It's your choice.
cool man i think that u should buy a small filter made for tanks like that only about 20 bucks and it well keep the water really cleen and help any mold or stuff to grow on the sitting water well other than that really nice set up!
what is the ground...like isit all rocks or dirt or what?plz reply soon
