@35hankypanky Elvis could sing and perform but he wasn't near the songwriter or musician that Little Richard, Chuck Berry or Bo Diddley was. Elvis was more popular than he was innovative. He was a white guy singing and performing the way his black peers did. This I felt was what set Elvis apart. No other white artist could do this better than him and naturally he reaped huge profits from it. If he is the "King" it's because of popularity not creativity.
