Still quite bittersweet to Korean viewers since many of young scholars who are comic relief in this drama actually end up getting killed by Sejo, one of Sejong's sons. Sejo kills his own brothers and nephew, who happens to be the king.

no he wasn't, He was born few hundred years after Queen Seondeok, his surname is Lee, and Queen Seondeok's Surname is Kim. wtf
