@dorianmixvideo actually they are not in pain. if you knew anything about rodeo or had the sense to just look it up on the internet or ask somone you would know that besides bulls naturally bucking they use what is called a flank strap.this strap does not induce pain, it works off of pressure, just like a lead chain for a dog or a bit in a saddle horses mouth. In fact the flank strap is tightened in the same way you cinch a girth on a riding saddle, except that the flank has a quick release.

Cool video. Rodeo is so much fun to watch. I unfortunately was never able to be around live stock growing up. In fact, horses scare me (and the fact that my friends horse was an ornery bastard and tried to bite me multiple timesndidn't help). But I always loved watching the rodeo at the county fair every year. As for the people who seem to think humans should be ashamed for enjoying this sport, well, they clearly have enough self-loathing for the rest of us, so I'll let them worry about that.

thats the tradition! and in all the rodeos ive ever been to i have never seen a calf get a leg or their neck broken. they are tough animals thats why in steer wrestlin you can twist their neck so they can fall over it aint gonna break

there is no necessity for rodeo.. it's just a bunch of guys playing at being cowboys.. there is no need to catch the calf other than to beat the clock.. it's pointless and animals are suffering as a result.. why does anyone need to wrestle a steer in front of an audience?..

the difference with rodeo is that the animals don't get the choice.. they are forced to take part often resulting in horrific injuries.. if the cowboys get injured, tough.. they took that risk..

calves do get their neck broke. cowboys get gored by bulls basicly shit happens. I have never seen it either but they get a video tape of a couple timers where it did happen and they convince everyone that it is common and now look out rodeo's are evil.

there are a few ones I have no use for the wild horse ride is a waste of a horse in my opinion. But thats just my oppinion.

Sometimes you see the calf flying through the air as the rope straightens, I'd say these guys are decent though because they decellerate the calf a bit more gently
