Infiniti over an Acura any time any day. Infiniti gives you class without have to be outspoken and my dads old 2002 Maxima is 25,000 miles plus and still running fine. So reputation isn't everything and the Altima looks a lot more like a sports car. Now from the 2nd richest county in the country I choose Nissan.

i was in the market for a coupe, i looked into the accord and altima, i must admit the back end of the altima looked better then that of the accords, but the accord had a bigger waw factor to me, the altima was also very small for me from he inside (im 6'3). i dont know about performance cause im not into street racing, i love the way an accord handles itself around corners, at the end both cars r nice, but for my taste the accord was the car to go with, i got the v6 and im loving it

the fact is, the CVT transmissions where you may drive manual is available in both cars, professionally driven, the coupe is faster. but if you honestly want a race, or compete with someone to say your honda is better or your nissan is better, it'll come down to the driver when in these cars most likely. but in my opinion, id take my 2009 Nissan Altima Coupe 3.5 SE hands down.

also, the thing is, 99% of people they interview are idiots, they know nothing about the performance or the car or even how to truely drive it. they are basing off of automatic transmissions in all these videos, where the cars bog down flooring it. Now the altima coupe 3.5 will finish the 1/4 quicker in CVT than the accord coupe with the same driver. but if your talking racing, it always depends on the driver and how good of a shifter they are with the CVT transmission, which i have in my car.

I have 02 accord with over 280000 miles on it. I bought it new in 01. When it reached 200000, i had to get all four bearings,alternator and light bulb for the stereo. Where your facts? My wife owned a 97 Accord and I STILL own a 97 Nissan Maxima. My wife's fell apart while mine is still on the road. First it was her radiator which the snow and salt of MA ate alive. Then it was he driver's side window regulator which i changed out 3 times on for it to fail again so I taped the window shut. Then it was he AC leaking.

The truth is that Honda's quality is shit compared to Nissan. The cost to operate ratio of a Nissan is way under Honda in my experience.

The new Altima coupe is a very smooth performer, (VQ motor all day baby!) however, it didn't become the hot yet practical car that so many were waiting for. Instead it turned out to be a FWD price-friendly G35. So, those who were looking before, will still be looking for that practical 2 door (if there is such thing). I would buy a Nissan. More reliable & durable for long term use. Maintenance is cheaper n could serve me well for 10yrs with no prob. Accord's heated oxygen sensors could die out in just 2,3yrs costing RM980 to replace, eeekkk. Besides, Nissan comes with own design while Honda copied heavily from others.
