It's about time shortstops started getting back at these ridiculous completely-sideways-while-kicking-at-the-shortstop slides.
There's a difference between breaking up a double play while sliding off-center into second, and breaking up a double play by turning sideways and flinging your feet up in the air at the fielder.
Escobar is a fucking pansy. that's called a baseball slide. it's the runner's job to break up the double play. it's not like he jumped in Escobar's face and physically prevented him from throwing the ball.
