nice loving the sound but why did u go with the f-sport, couldve gotten a joez with a blitz drop in for 200 less, all the f-sport does to get the aggressive sound is add a hole in the intake box
No problem on long rides. When the freeway is flat and you are going a steady speed it gets fairly quiet. It's very enjoyable and you can make it loud by pushing on the gas (or going up an incline). I still enjoy hearing it and don't notice it that much (probably because I'm use to louder exhausts on my other cars). The cold air intake helps the sound too (on fast acceleration).
yeah i got my lexus is350 and just up graded to F performance intake sound pretty good and i notice the gas mileage , from 18 mpg to at least 19mgp and alittle higher , i dont like the exhaust kind of noise , akkakka
Since it uses the stock cold air box, then yes you will get a little more power. Most aftermarket intakes that are short-ram intakes will actually decrease horespower because it uses warm air instead of cold air
I don't know for sure but it feels like it to me. There are a lot of claims out there for increased HP when you add air intakes and a lot of people that say it isn't true. I'm very happy with the performance and the sound and that's all that really matters.
any aftermarket intake is going to give it more power. Your only going to get 3-8hp to the wheels but it is more power. The reason people say it doesnt change is that your not going to really feel 3 hp
the biggest flaw on all aftermarket intakes for the IS350 is that they take air from the engine bay which is too hot.the best intake is the JOEZ (according to IS350 forums) which is only a pipe that uses the stock factory airbox (then people change the drop in filter and put something like a K&N high flow filter). none of these add more than 8 Whp.
NOW, the F-sport does the same thing, but changes the airbox which has better airflow... so this might be the best one.
I'm not sure what the exact increase in MPG is right now. I think I got a slight increase from adding the air intake but I need more time to really tell. I'm noticing 2-3 MPG change. Some people are saying it is because of the change in additives to our gasoline but I find that hard to believe.
It is a part sold by Lexus specifically for the IS350 that Lexus wouldn't complain about later if there are any warranty issues with the engine. I just felt better sticking with Lexus parts while the car is under warranty. They can also service it. It turned out fine and I've very happy with it.
And how mutch money did you spend with evrything intake exhoust and labor if you don't mine asking you? cuz i just got my is 350 and i'm thinkin to upgradeit
If you look around you might get it for less money right now. I paid $746.93 for the Tanabe exhaust (total includes tax). Labor from the Lexus dealer to install was $140. The F-Sport Air Intake was $492 with tax. Installation by the Lexus Dealer was $100. I'm sure they are dealing on these now. I bought mine over a year ago. I'm also really glad I got them. The car sounds much better now than in the video.
The total for the Tanabe exhaust system and F-Sport Performance Air Intake (with tax and labor to install) was $1,478. I had it done at a Lexus dealer. You can probably have it done elsewhere cheaper if you look around. Good luck.
Feel any difference with the new intake??? You guys are so lucky in the US, cos we don't have any accessories available from Lexus Australia... and the US brings out F Sport Line is just not fair...boohoo~ Congrats on your new intake~
I can tell a difference. It also sounds really great when you give it a lot of gas. The F-Sport Performance Air Intake plus the Tanabe exhaust are two great options to add to the Lexus IS350.

Sounds good. I wonder how much hp & tq this combo adds to the car. Is 10-15 hp at the crank realistic you think?

TedPCA how about long hwy rides? Does the Tanabe ever seem too much in terms of droning?

There is no CAI available for the IS350, only SRI's which are worse than stock.

Nice man!
How much did this all cost you with installation and all that? Im debating whether to get the intake/exhaust combo or the 19'' rims =P
