  • You left out the "Mike was content manager for the Creation Museum" part. Are you kidding me? Someone who says that dinosaurs roomed the earth after humans did? They should take a biology class...

  • Correction: science is on the side of creationism, not evolution. There is no scientific proof for evolution as you say.

  • There are so many fallacies in that that I can list them all!

1- creationism IS based off of scientific fact

2- evolution itself is both a theory and a religion

3- we have NEVER been able to prove species evolve into other species

4- despite her age she is still smarter than you as well as myself

5- being raised in a christian environment does not effect ones ability to obtain information and to understand a concept

6- you portray many creationist as scientifically uneducated when I myself kn

  • @kitkat98139813

    1- Name one

2- Look up the definition of religion, then look at the theory of evolution (and science in general)

3- Transitional fossils, genetic relationship between species (such as humans and chimps), homologous organs etc.

    4- Statement without proof

5- It really can. The Bible itself tells the reader to ignore facts that contradict it (E.G evolution)

    6-You're what?

  • @Abazur7

1- Evolution says that the earth is billions of years old, Creation says the flood destroyed it at one point. Evolution uses layers to prove the age of the earth and that petrification takes millions of years, we have found petrified trees in the ground standing streight up, also having marks on them from all at one point, which is what creationists say to have happened during the flood, but these trees were petrified within a year or two, not in millions of years.

  • @Abazur7

2- a religion is a strong belief in something that you haven't seen before, while evolution isn't even a theory, a theory is mans farthest amount of possible knowledge on a certain subject, and evolution isn't our furthest knowledge, especially because of all of its fallacies.

3- like i said in 1, because of the actual age of the earth, the entire fossil record is false, and the ages of these fossils are just made up, and based off of untrue statements. So they dont change!!!

  • @Abazur7

4- yea I don't think you even understood that.

5- so your saying that because I was raised an a christian family, I can't learn and obtain knowledge, I am very open minded, and understand perfectly well both creation and evolution, and your taking fact from the bible and turning it into evolutionary truth(you do the same with science) and if the bible isn't true to evolutionists than you wouldn't have made that statement.

    6- What?

  • @kitkat98139813 Creationism is based off scientific fact? Are you kidding me? You need to start doing some research from people who aren't die hard creationists like yourself. Most of what you stated here is directly contradicts science.

  • @GarretBj26 Creationism studys the bible and the bible is fact.

  • @killallnonbeliever2 You are right that creationism studies the bible but "bible is fact" is the error you made. Science is on the side of evolution no matter how you look at it. I would love to see any evidence you have that says otherwise.

  • @killallnonbeliever2 It is a fact that the bible exists.

  • my mother is a christian that enjoys fox news, supports the financial blockading of wikileaks, denies police brutality at occupy initiatives, and hopes for ron paul.please, make it stop.

  • I never claimed to be smarter than anyone either! I would never say that i am smarter than these experts because i am not an expert and if i am not mistaken neither are you but i can still use logic to decide. Thanks again for this experience and so my parents don't even know about our debate. So much for them placing these ideas in my head! Good bye and BAM!

  • Okay Zaunstar we could go at this forever! You will say sometiing and i'll try to refute it, then you'll try to refute what i say and so on and so forth. So I am not saying you win but let's just agree to disagree and we will know who is right when we pass away. (i will be of course) but do what you would like. thanks for the experience though and btw theories are not proven so of course there will be doubt about it! I and many other doubt it so that was a pretty stupid statment!

  • @jackhackslack How would you know? You never even bothered to look up the definition so that you could understand what it means in the context of science, as I suggested. There are two definitions. If you are not interested in new information, why bother arguing at all?

  • @Zaunstar If God doesn't exist, then why hasn't he told us yet?

  • @jackhackslack You say theories aren't proven. So gravitation isn't proven? It's just a theory after all.

Or maybe you are confusing the word theory as defined by the scientific method with the word theory defined in common usage. I suggest you spend some time studying the scientific method before dismissing things with the word theory in them as speculation. You'll probably find that theory is the highest level of acceptance a fact-explaining model can achieve within the scientific community.

  • I know I am posting a lot of comments but i have one last thing to say. I don't agree with homosexuality or abortion. I believe that they are unbiblical. btw I found this radio show that discuses these things. It called the Bob Dutko show and it plays on many christian radio station in several states. It's based in detroit though! you should check it out.

  • And Zaunstar you can believe everthing you see on google

  • Thank you sjwo12344321 but i do know a lot about the creation and evolution debate for my age! and this thing about how zaunstar says that our parents "place" these beliefs in us! What do you think the public school system is doing to us! all they teach is evolution for the origins of the universe. they don't teach creation! so before you go around telling me that my parents placed these ideas in me when the public school system places evolution in students heads. BAM!

  • @jackhackslack They place evolution in our heads for the same reason they place most things. It is because it is shown to be fact. You are 13. You really need to learn more before you argue these topics that involve scientific research. Ask yourself why nearly every expert in the field of biology accept evolution. Then ask yourself if there is ANY other field of expertise where you would EVER think you're smarter than the experts. That alone should give you pause.

  • @Zaunstar First off i don't want to troll this "Ashley" girl. I don't have a problem with her. And you make some false statment when you said,"They place evolution in our heads for the same reason they place most things. It is because it is shown to be fact". It's called the THEORY of evolution for a reason.Yes there is some fact in this theory but that's what makes it believable people.

  • @jackhackslack the last sentence is supposed to be " Yes there is some fact in this theory but that's what makes it believable to some people".

  • @jackhackslack Look up the dictionary definition of theory. Note there is more than one meaning. Evolution is a theory under the scientific definition, like the theory of gravity and germ theory are theories. It doesn't mean there is doubt about it.

  • I'm a little older then "Ashley" and i'm fortunate enough to have grown up in a very diverse place i am a Christian but i was baptized Catholic, and i now go to a private Jesuit school so my religious views do not match with most of my families and peers.I do support homosexuals in fact i have a large number of friends who are homosexual.I like the point she brought up about creation and i am still undecided but i am leaning to evolution.I just wanted everybody to know we r not all brain washed.

  • @sjwo12344321 Yep, I know you aren't, and that's good. When you are stuck inside a whole belief structure that your parents placed you in, designed to make you believe certain things, I give you great credit for still being able to think for yourself. Keep up the good work!

  • First off all i am also a male 13 year old christian and this is outrageous! your arguments are ridiculous! there are Creation scientists who DO have a legit degree! and for evolution, it's a joke! You think that two huge bodies in space collided and exploded then BAM! you got oxygen BAM! you got hydrogen! really? where did those bodies come from? you're outrageous!

  • @jackhackslack You are 13? You will want to get some science education before asking me all of these questions. Google is your friend. Please research it.

  • @jackhackslack I am a 15 year old female Christian and you're outrageous, learn more about what your arguing against before you start to argue. You should also learn more about our religion it seems it might do you some good to be more open to the world and opinions of those around you.BAM

  • I can tell you for a fact that not all Christians are like the ones you describe. Both my parents are Catholic but they recognize evolution is a fact and are not against gay marriage. They don't care that I am an atheist either.

  • @BananaBoyL337 Yep, you are correct, and I am aware of that. Mrs. Zaunstar is a "lapsed Catholic", so I'm pretty up on what they believe.

  • Comment removed

  • You are awesome for taking the time to answer to a 13 year old's email. This is the age when people begin to solidify their beliefs. In spite of there being heavy religious influences in my life, I am atheist because I've always been one to doubt claims that cannot be backed with evidence. Her comment, "marrying someone of the same sex IS a sin" reveals that the beliefs are too deeply indoctrinated in her. For a thirteen year old to view homosexuals as sinners is truly unfortunate for her.

  • @pripri1113 Yes, unfortunately it seems so. It's not too late forever though. There's always a shot to shake off the myths.

  • did she answer?

  • @orberkovich2 She did, yes. It's on her channel.

  • @Zaunstar was it removed?

  • @orberkovich2 Looks like she removed all of her uploads! She had about 8 or so, not all related to religion.

  • @Zaunstar oh. in that case, could you please tell me what she said?

  • Zaunstar

You wouldn't convince me of anything about any topic. I would guess you think you are clever implying things that are not true or can not be proven and I came to this conclusion only from watching 4 videos.

  • @spssw Then you sir, are a bafoon.

  • Hey, Zaunstar, what is your race? You look half-white, half-Asian.

  • @SamuelConcepcion No, I'm completely caucasian as far as I know. I get that question sometimes though.

  • why dont you think god could use evolution for his glory, I personally dont think he would because we are made in his image. I also cant support evolution because of vestigil organs?

  • Your assumptions about that girl's parents are typical and likely accurate, but you're still putting words into their mouths.

You don't know that her parents forbid or discourage her from exploring viewpoints other than theirs.

  • @nanoday1 I did specifically say I believe either in the video or a subtitle note that I do not know that for sure. I'm pretty careful about that sort of thing.

  • @Zaunstar

Thanks for your reply. I do realize that you pointed that out in your video. You even said that you hoped you were wrong.

But if you're going to admit that you don't actually know these things, then what is your point? Why start out with something as assertive as "are you actually aware of what's happening in your life right now Ashley?"? Is this actually a response video to Madjack or are you really only pointing out tendencies that you don't like?

Her name is not even Ashley

  • @nanoday1 I know her name is not Ashley. I believe I said or strongly hinted that at the beginning. She's 13. I didn't want to use her real name.

  • @TheRealMidori we don't force. If you don't want to hear it, be my guest. Ut's called free will, and you guys do it too. You share your beliefs to the world, as well as everyone else does. The trip to hell thing I guess could be called a warning. You don't want to burn do you? lol and about the "forcing". Our sermons just work. Period. It's not out of fear, guilt, or anything else except understanding and conviction. Wanna know why most think it's forced? Cause it's not your belief is it? Think.

  • @TheRealMidori xD not planning on it but thanks anyways :D

  • @TheRealMidori the bible for one thing, was NOT written by God. I will give you that. It wasn't just written by ONE human either. It was written by a series of humans throughout Israel's history. The bible was not written by God, but inspired by God. In other words, God told them through dreams, prophecies, etc. And the people He told them to, like Zachariah or Micah, wrote it down. The rest of the Bible is basically history. Now..yes, some christians are immature. But not most.

  • @madjack141 also, I am the little girl he was talking about...but...i'm not really that little.. :I

  • Your teacher parents did the same thing to you, building your secular humanist religion.

  • i like you and your ability to be mature towards immature trolls.

i also like your ability to state your beliefs without shooting other beliefs to the ground.

  • Great video. I just recently stumbled upon your channel and I deeply respect the calm and intelligent way that you are able to address people. While I also watch and agree with other, let's say, 'nihilistic'/pessimistic' youtube vloggers, I'm glad that there is a forum for intelligent discussion. If humanity does have a chance to culturally evolve a more rational mind, it will be due to people like you.

    Thanks again!

  • @enlightenedone676 Thanks! That's a very nice compliment. I appreciate the support.

  • just saying zaunstar.... marrying someone of the same sex IS a sin. Why? Cause God put it in the bible. And yes I refer to the bible.

And don't think you've made me doubt. Quite frankly, you made me more into the Word than ever before.

And the article? Yesh, I made a mistake. Srry to burst your bubble but answers from Genesis DOES have actual scientists. Don't believe me? Well ask the ones who were athiests and then were born again. Also...christianity isnot immature.

  • @madjack141 The influences in your life guiding you toward belief are a million times more persuasive that I could ever be. The best I could have reasonably hoped for was an interesting discussion, and hopefully we've at least had that.

Answers in genesis is an organization committed to promoting a Bible literalist point of view, no matter what. It even says it on their website. Evidence doesn't matter to them. I believed I was respectful to you in this video. Didn't you watch it a month ago?

  • @Zaunstar yes, i did watch it- but what disapointed me is that you took a bold move into calling my belief "immature". basically, the debate turned into an arguement of wits- which is what I ONLY see in the other videos. I was hoping for something different- and well- balanced debate of evidence. Instead it was turned into a political affair.

The debate was interesting- until now.

  • @madjack141 Ash, I was not calling you personally immature. I was calling religion in general immature. I think that you personally are quite mature for your age. I also don't think that being a believer makes you immature. I was referring generally to the people that came up with Christianity and came up with all other religions, not every follower of a religion. Does that make it clearer?

  • @Zaunstar i know you weren't. I wasn't saying that I thought you said that I was immature. At all. :I The people who "came up" with Christianity weren't immature as well.

  • @madjack141 As for the gay marriage part, well, that's what I was afraid of. This is where Christians will often believe that everyone needs to live by their set of rules, and freedom doesn't work like that. As a country, there is already a shift toward allowing it. You're on the wrong side of history.

  • @madjack141

"Cause God put it in the bible." Is not really a valid reason.

How can you know that god put it there?

  • @nanoday1

For one thing: "By Faith Alone" You have to have faith in order to believe it. Now I know, that it might be a little "Stupid" for me to say it but it's true. If you don't have faith in something then what do you have?

Another reason is because, well, God didn't WRITE the Bible. He put it in there through people that heard his voice. Say...the prophecies in there. By accounts we can gather that Jesus was real. Well, a few hundred years earlier prophets spoke of his coming. So there. :)

  • @madjack141

Without faith, you can rely on reason and evidence.

It's interesting that we can retrospectively assign the birth of Jesus to some older prophecy, but I don't think that's very solid evidence. How can we know now that it's correct to assume that the original prophecy was actually referring to Jesus?

  • Stumbled onto your video's just this morning. Count me a subscriber! This one video that you made is just great. I have to agree with Shango's post above this, if your video doesn't reach that young woman, than no message ever will. It was well made, factual and from the heart.

  • @Isatsujinken Thanks! I appreciate it. I guess we'll see what happens.

  • @Trucidofy ..jewish bankers? Jesus Christ, get out of here you conspiracy nut anti Semite..

  • I love eating babies in a crocoduck suace

  • stop generalizing

  • @Trucidofy If you have nothing nice to say, and they aren't being a total asshole, don't say anything at all. Well, on the internet at least!

  • You are probably a model citizen. You treat people as they should be treated. You responded to that girl with understanding and patience. You analyzed the situation very thoroughly and did not simply bash religion. Thank you for taking the time and patience to respond to her. I am still trying to figure out how to tell my parents I'm an Atheist. Good luck with everything, and thanks for all you do!

  • @KingOfTheNarwhals That will be a tricky conversation, and I would say maybe don't even have it right now if you are very dependent on them and think they might be severe with you.

  • @Zaunstar I finally told them last night. I feel like 5 tons have been lifted of me. But I also feel like pillars of myself are cracked. But I think time will fill those cracks. Thank you, Zaunstar. On the behalf of the Flying Spaghetti Monster, we all thank you.

  • @KingOfTheNarwhals I'm just a guy with a camera, but I'm glad it worked out OK. It will get easier, as long as your parents are reasonably understanding.

  • Hi again, I wantd to tell you that you are nice because others seam so mean on these channels. How come you have only 4,000 views-0-- does it mean you have to be mean to be popular? If so that's not fare... bye-bye.

  • P.S. I noticed the Religious seem to be flooding the page with Hateful comments! They must of got wind of you taking time with one of their young folk! This is what happens when your effective!

  • Good job! I am glad to see you spent time with ' Ashley ' and treated her like an adult. Atheist some times, like the Religious, tend to go for the jugular and forget there are people to be reached, that sincerely have legitimate questions, especially the young!

  • @1533mark Hi, I like what you said. This channel is good because people don't fight much. I am learning from him so I can laugh at people who believe also (my foster homes made me go to church and I hated it). I'm not sure waht I shuld do-- I asked a friend and we both want to laugh at peopel like zunster-- at least we'll be happy about it

  • This is a foolish video, for one athiest have no scientific evidence for anything they say, if evolution is true, then you would be able to show the a family tree that starts with a dog and ends with you. I also find this video funny in that you will answer a 13 year old person, why don't you debate someone with a little more knowlege and wisdom and stop tryng to indoctrinate people like all athiests do...

  • @jags018 If you think humans evolved from dogs, then you know almost nothing about what scientists have learned on the subject, and are thus not worth debating science with. Also, if you had paid attention to the first 30 seconds of the video, she asked me what I thought on the subject, and knew I was an atheist.

  • @Zaunstar Nice try at trying to deflect the topic to which you have no response, you have made a foolish statement, to which you have no proof. Evolution is a proven lie, and we have evidence that scientist are liars, thanks Al Gore, and just a word of advice, right and wrong does not exist in your world view, so please stop contradicting yourself...

  • @jags018 So because you believe Al Gore, who is not a scientist, is a liar, then that means all scientists are liars? I already thought you were wrong, but now I kind of feel sorry for you. *:-(

  • @Zaunstar Really, fool. the scientist they had found that was supported by Al Gore that was proven through e-mails to know that there was no facts to support the causes of global warming yet still lied to the population, those were not scientist? get your head out of the sand fool. I have just proven that scientist will only allow what agrees with what they say to be entered into discussion, again another game played by athiests that is too easy to disprove...

  • @jags018 You should watch some videos by greenman3610. He presents very well exactly what is going on there with those emails you speak of. Search for "hide the decline" and greenman3610.

  • @Zaunstar Really, is that why Al Gore is no where to be found, and the media has quit talking about the great lie... Is rhis really the best you have, I think you may need re-examine your stance, because you have yet to show any evidence that would prove that you have nothing less than a blind faith...

  • @jags018 Watch the video. Then let's talk.

  • @jags018 That email scandal was later disproved as emails being taken out of context and nothing was disproved but the gullibility of people who don't believe in global warming. Please look up the facts. Nasa.gov national geographic pick up the scientific american magazine and you will see climate change is happening and its very real. Now there is no use in debating a settled issue so please move to another subject.

  • @DarkMagus1985 Really, this is the best you have, the scientist were liars and still are liars per everyone and media outlet I know of. All I would need is to see something come from nothing, as athiest are forced to believe, Ben Stein's Expelled easily explains your video, where facts are not really that important. You have ZERO evidence of macro evolution and are following blindly, this is really sad and I feel sorry for you and every athiest.

  • @jags018 So you honestly think that every scientist everywhere in the world for the past 5 centuries has been part of some huge conspiracy to deny the bible, even the ones who are or were strongly religious?

And really, this BS difference between micro and macro evolution- the only thing that separates them is time, for macro evolution to not be true there would have to be some sort of inhibitor in the genetic code, but somehow nobody's ever managed to find it. Ben Stein's the real liar.

  • @Macrochenia It is funny when real EVIDENCE is brought into the discussion, scientist have been proven to lie. Macro-evolution is a joke, why aren't we seeing missing links walking out of the ape houses, oh wait, apes give birth to apes, not to mutants... would that be the inhibitor you were talking about... who's next, this person makes it way too easy...

  • @jags018 Really, I think I just found a missing link that should be sent back to the ape house.

  • @Macrochenia You have not explained why we have never seen macro evolution in effect, I mean if that were true, we would have evidence of animals changing from one species to the next, and yet we don't have that. The only missing link I see is your ability to deal in reality... next.

  • @jags018 No, what we have never seen is animals and plants magically poofed into existence by your god from nothing, or men from dust or women from a rib or talking snakes or a flat earth with a dome over the top like a snow globe with windows in it. Biological evolution is a fact and the theory of evolution is the best explanation of that fact, you are parroting arguments that have been destroyed by the scientific community and even thrown out of court in america, that's reality.

  • @1empathy Yes we say that animals were created by God, I think the fairytale magic comes from you the athiest, one done no life then BANG life with no cause that breaks every law of physics... macro-evolution is ilogical and you have no evidence period. The scientific liars have never brought anything to the table, hahahahaha. Thanks for calling yourself a fool, I didn't have to.hAHAHAHAHAHAHA

  • @jags018

You didn't even bother to research your beliefs did you? Atheists don't belief that life just popped into existance, that's actually a christian belief (read genesis). If you want a proper understanding of abiogenesis and evolution, pick up a textbook and read it. Be skeptical, try to find shit that's wrong with it (while being reasonable). That's a good thing. You'll find that it all holds up. You won't however, find that while doing the same with the bible.

  • @ScissorHand26 No you are mistaken, you are forced to believe that poof life was there, so don't lie. Just like I said one day no life then BANG there was life. NO cause fool, just poof there was life. and while you are at it, what magic created the universe? talk about blind faith...

  • @jags018 if you believe in micro evolution you automatically believe in macro i.e macro is just micro over a longer period of time in fact if you believe in evolution at all then you dont agree with the adam and eve story with man being made from dirt, rib women and talking snakes with legs. the big bang is a theory that says that we came from a condensed ball of matter that was getting so dense and so hot that it exploded in .(just imagine 40 zeros then a 1) makes more sense than a god doing it

  • @jags018 What evidence do YOU have that God exists? A book that says so? The burden of PROOF always rests on those who claim that something OTHERS CAN'T SEE or CONFIRM exists. At least science is careful to present its findings as theories that are open to being changed with time if more evidence should be found to dispute the existing ones. Religion leaves no room for skepticism, and it is without skepticism that you have blind faith and can never progress.

  • @pripri1113 This is funny, The Bible, which we have eye witness accounts that no athiest has been able to prove wrong, I think i just presented more evidence than an athiest ever has, the Bible has never been proven false, science has. Why would I be speptical of the truth, that has been proven. You have been lied to, athiesm is nothing more than a lie, and you have brought ZERO evidence from your side. I have also discredited your "experts" again, why do we not see macro. evolution?

  • @jags018 I can present before you a book and say my cat wrote it and claim that I was an eyewitness to this occurrence. Would you be required to believe me just because you can't prove me false? The Bible does not need to be proven false for it to be regarded as insufficient. And YOU have discredited experts? How so? Since you mistake your ignorance for truth, and there's no convincing you otherwise, why not STOP watching videos that unsettle you? You have the freedom to remain unwise.

  • @pripri1113 dumbest arguement ever, but let's say that happened, we can test the handwriting, and we can also test the eyewitness accounts to prove or disprove your statement in a very scientific manner, as we have the Bible. Al Gore proved that your scientists will lie for the right price, again where is your evidence that the Bible is false, I am still waiting...

  • @Zaunstar It's a little different than debating with a 13 year old now isn't it...

  • Also, evolution is a theory. NOT A FACT.

  • Why are you bashing our religion. I should ask you why atheist are total jerks to everyone who has the slightest idea that there might be a God. Your putting her down and the others who actually believe in God. Nice going.

  • @ChristianTeens100 I didn't put her down at all. I talked to her like an adult, with respect, which is more than you are offering me. I believe she would agree with me on that.

  • @Zaunstar Your putting down her religion and telling her that whatever she believes in she's wrong and your right. Your making it seem like your right for a fact that there is no God and that how we got here is from evolution. That's not talking to her like an adult. That's shoving your beliefs down her throat. You no better than the obsessive Christians. With all due respect.

  • @ChristianTeens100 if you had paid attention to the first 30 seconds of the video, SHE asked ME what I thought on the subject, and she already knew I was an atheist. She made a video about how evolution is wrong too. Her objections were not correct, but I respectfully pointed out some of the flaws. Did you get upset at her for "shoving beliefs down my throat"? Of course not. I wish you were as smart as she is.

  • @Zaunstar I wish you dad was smart enough to wear a condom.

  • @ChristianTeens100 I'll bet that's exactly what Jesus would have said!

  • @Zaunstar stfu. Just block me already and stfu. i'm NOT Jesus so don't expect me to speak like him. Unlike him he never got mad at people. I'm showing my emotions which I'm pissed off. I think your a pig and should have never became partner so no one can hear your freaking mouth.

  • @ChristianTeens100 Why should I block you? You are 16, old enough to use some reason, and I would be happy to have a civil, adult conversation with you.

    1. So because you don't agree with me, you don't think I should be allowed to say anything?

    2. I already told you she asked me for my thoughts. Why are you upset at me when I answered her questions from my perspective?

Those are my two questions. Answer those, and then ask me some and I will answer. This is how civilized dialogue works.

  • @Zaunstar i'm sorry alright. i don't want to be rude. but just saying. christians have feelings too and we do get pissed off. just because we are christians doesn't mean we don't have feeling and supposed to be all nice and happy and fake. i'm just one of the christians who's not going to hold back my feelings. i'm not going to have a debate with you right now because i have things to do. maybe one day.

  • @ChristianTeens100 What are the teachings of Jesus Christ on the position of violence or offense? If a man strikes your right cheek offer him your other. If your a true christian not only would you apologize you would realize you brought shame to Jesus Christ himself. You should never even when angry say anything vulgar or wrong. Your cup is runneth over. You are filled to the brim with nonsense and have forgotten the message and ideas of Christ. Love, Mercy, Reason and FORGIVENESS.

  • @ChristianTeens100 If you continue to be a christian be more Christ-like and read your sermon on the mount. Understand your faith & the ramifications of using any form of hatred is in itself a contradiction of the message of Christ. Jesus calls on everyman to be loving and respectful. To be meek and not to value wealth. To show charity and to never indulge yourselves on the trivial. Problem with many Christians is that they don't know how to be Christ-like. Zaunstar is more like Christ than you.

  • @DarkMagus1985 there's also this little thing people like to leave out is called feelings. unlike many people know Christians are people too and yes we DO get pissed off. I was just having a seriously bad day. and Zanunstar will never be more Christ like than me. and don't reply to people just to judge them. seriously. and btw i'm not a guy. gosh.

  • @ChristianTeens100 Judge not lest ye yourself be judged. What Zaunstar was doing with his conversation is showing a kind of attitude which is rare. People believe in what they believe and they try to convince you rightly or wrongly to their position. You as a person have to decide whether you agree or disagree. When we have debates even when they get personal we have to strive to be above the debate and consider our and their words carefully. Try to keep an open mind.

  • @DarkMagus1985 just be quiet. seriously. you have no idea what he truly said to me. you didn't see his private messages to me. so just be quiet.

  • @ChristianTeens100 Now I'm curious. What did he say?

  • @ChristianTeens100 You're a fucking retard.

  • Hopefully she will listen. I know what its like to grow up in a Christian family. The pressure is intense. You are discouraged from investigation and when you find something then genuinely does not make sense you are told that gods ways are above ours or that logic is only a part of god creation and so it doesn't apply to god himself. Still, there is hope for that girl. A christian willing to cross over and ask questions is a rare thing.

  • @Zaunstar Great Video... I'd like to see a follow up video if anything interesting transpires.

  • What I don't understand is why everyone believes that Christians hate gay people (even those Christians who are against it). I don't agree with homosexuality of any kind, but I only hate people who I think are assholes. There are plenty extremely kind, and otherwise moralistic gays out there that I would be perfectly kind to and not hate. I just think they're misguided and not pleasing God, but they're not hurting others and shouldn't be hated.

  • very well handled Zaunstar - always a tricky thing when dealing with young minds in not insulting them....

  • Another great video, In many cases I find my self explaining these topics to theists as if they were 15 year olds instead of grown individuals. So this is an effective video for teen theists and beyond.

  • Sorry, it's Theramintrees 'Instruction Manual For Life.'

  • This was a really good video, thanks for making it.

  • This young girl now has a greater chance to break the bonds of mental slavery.

  • Excellent!

  • just had a huge deja vu, have you ever made a video similar to this before?

  • @LeoMRogers No, not really. You can check and look back, but I don't think I've done anything quite like that before.

  • Well done ZS, one of your very best!

  • Zaunstar, you are an extraordinarily decent human being! You are an excellent role model and a personal inspiration to me. What you've done here, with this video, is amazing to me. If you didn't do this for that young woman, it's very possible that no one ever would have. Thank you!

  • @shango02005 I'm just a guy with a camera trying to do what I can, but I do appreciate the kind words. *:-)

  • @Zaunstar, I see, and good for her. Hopefuly she won't quit trying when she gets to the edge.

  • Fantastic video sir.

  • That was an excellent response, polite and concise.

That said, I kept thinking while watching that her parents would be livid if they found out she was reaching out to an Atheist for insight. Makes me feel very empathetic towards this "Ashley" and the millions like her in the US. They're caught between a rock and a hard place.

  • Perfect! It made me proud to here your concise response

  • @DigitalAlcatraz Very well said!

  • Excellent video.

  • Very impressive sir. Well worded and compassionate response.

  • @dannypantsgm Thanks Mr. pants. I did my best.

  • Mormons are not bible literalists, and don't generally teach that evolution didn't happen. I was never taught that evolution is false. The only Mormon that ever preached against it to me was my grandmother, but even at the age of 12, I could tell she had no idea what she was talking about.

It's not that I care much. They are just as much full of shit as anyone else, but I decided that clarification would be a good idea.

  • @Godlessons Yes, I had another commenter say the same thing, so I may have been wrong on that. I will check further. My sample size for that was probably too small. I may add something to the info bar. Thanks.

  • @Zaunstar There are many misconceptions about Mormons, and when someone comes to a Mormon with one of them, it actually reinforces their belief, because they aren't really attacking the religion, but some imagined version of it. They tell themselves that in order for people to attack them, they have to make things up to attack.

In that vain, I try to clear those up when possible so their heads don't get too big. Mormons are actually surprisingly liberal in most things.

  • @Godlessons Mormons are "surprisingly liberal"? Hm, well except the part where they spent millions on TV ads in CA to make sure that Prop 8 ended up getting enough yes votes to pass, causing these legal wranglings that could take years to settle. *:-(

  • @Zaunstar That's why I say "surprisingly". That's something most people know them for, but as of things like the age of the earth, evolution, Noah's flood, etc., they are far from literalists. They also generally stay out of politics completely. The gay marriage thing is actually the first time in my life that I ever heard the church itself specifically take a political side on an issue.

You don't have to accept gay marriage to be a liberal religion.

  • You have a command over spoken words that I will never have. To speak the truth so eloquently is what draws me again and again to the Crocoduck Army. I applaud you.

  • @OnlyBrainLeft Thank you for the kind words. *:-) Happy to have you here in Crockistan.

  • Good video, well done! She seems like a very smart girl. It will be interesting to see what follows.

  • so well done, said and put up, cheers.

  • projecting much?

  • His voice... is so... Calming :o If i had his voice, I would talk to myself all day. Anyways, he is great, and nice about it. :D

  • My advise to any creationist would hope to debate, would be the same advice I would give to an evolutionist. I would tell an evolutionist to read the bible if they want to debate a creationist. I would tell a creationist to read about evolution. However, I mean to read an explanation by an actual evolutionary biologist, not an article on a creationist's website. You wouldn't ask a rocket scientist about brain surgery would you?

  • Its so hard to say what your saying, and not be a dick, but I think you've done well. Kudos.

  • @ramshaka Thanks, yes, I was trying to be very careful to put it in a way that was accurate but not condescending or rude.

  • I'm 13 too.

I'm an atheist, I used to be a christian, a (realtively) very cative one too, but... I started watching the amazing atheist. I had watched him before, but being this active made me an atheist.

Of course, the best part about randomly turning atheist makes my great-grandma call me a communist. Specifically, a communist from USSR. The last part sucks. I'm a communist(kinda), but I'm offended bu the USSR part.

  • @mantas1111000 I know exactly (well, almost.... communist?) what you are going through. When I was 15 I went from Roman Catholic (you know, the churches from the old horror flicks...) to Pagan. My mother, who knew nothing at all about the faith assumed I worshiped the devil, lol. My family was actually grateful that I became an Atheist years later.
