Well I think everyone's being a bit harsh. Having done (and attempted to write) an a cappella version of this with my school choir I can fully appreciate this was very well done! The harmonies are brilliant!  The chords are funny anyway so comments on tuning are quite unfair.

The lead singer is the problem. If they replaced him with someone who's voice flowed better this act would be better. His voice is choppy....he cuts off the words rather than letting them flow one into another more like they do in the actual song.

this is not...wow the sopranos are really whiny and sharp and the bass is so loud it makes listening to this really unpleasant. the soloist has a pleasant tone when he's on pitch (which he isn't when he does the chorus...he really needs to work on his falsetto) but other than that, there's not much praise i can give this.

Hate to be a hater, but any problems with performance weren't really equipment problems. But extremely poor mixing and preparation. But generally things like this are meant to be jovial. Also its not like they're using studio lighting and cameras. Its some dude with a camcorder and what i'm guessing are SM-58 mics. nothing particularly fancy. I would venture to guess it sounds better live.

we sing this song in our acapella group on campus and there are some important parts that never make it into this version. Overall the bass and even main vocal could have come down in some parts

lead singer was the best part of this vid, downsides to this version is that the tempo felt like it kept speeding up, the beat boxer was way to loud and coverd up alot of it, and the soprano at the begining around 0:36: kinda sounded like she was dieing.

i wish you guys had better equipment it probably would have came out alot better with it. 4/5
