is it neccasary to stun the rathian? because all i am seeing is charges with the hammer

that's why it is necessary to stun a rathian.... hammer charges will give you a mobility advantage since you really need to run around and only strike when you see openings...

By watching this i actually learned something new... but the part when the rathian did a double tail swipe.. i always went for a super pound. =p but i attempt that only in non-raged mode..

Erm, i guess ur armour skills are Sharpness +1, HGE and RA+3 right? But why do i get Sharp Sword instead of Sharpness +1? Pls help me.

I can't buffer the video now since my line is lagging atm. But mine was a hybrid build, a mix between Diablos Z and RathSoulZ not just pure Diablos.

Im using a hybrid build between diablos Z and RathSoulZ too. But I can't get Sharpness+1. The skill points the armour gave is Sharp Sword. Or do i have to use jewels?

Best way of getting a divine plate is Gold and Silver in Great Arena ( descendants of the kings iirc ) HR9. Get 15 Flash bombs and kill Gold Rathian first. Guaranteed divine plate. :P

Well, in GnS, you want to get rid of 1monster ASAP so you don't need to bother with 2. Silver has less hp, so he's faster to kill.

Hold R for a while. But not until it flashes. That is when it superpounds instead of 2nd charge - double pound. :D

Okay! but i gotta tell you, his rocks are annoying, also, How can you evade his dig attack? It keeps going pass me and i keep running then he hits me in the face when he jumps up :P

Just run in circles around the place he digs in. Then when he throws the rock , do a superjump! :P

I'll try that, good luck getting to hr 8, the dual quests are really annoying, they ALWAYS go to the same area in like 6 minutes then takes 7 minutes to leave then repeat the process :(

Pretty helpful guide. But it may help to mention that Gold Rathian is somewhat unusual, as she takes the most Impact damage at her neck and wings. So when you score a KO, It'd probably be at your best interest to aim at those parts, rather than her head.

U sure about the neck part ? I do know the wings take more dmg. But its only a slight difference and wings are kinda hard to get a full TP in sometimes , so well , for me I'l stick to the head. Thanks for the info anyways. :)

Pretty sure it is. Though her neck is hard to hit with a hammer. Not worth missing two triple pounds for.

Wrong.

Theres 2 kind of weapons, Impact and Cutting. Hammer is a Impact weapon so weakness for Impact:Gold Rathian is the Head.

Whereas, if you use a Cutting Weapon (Ex. Longswod), weakness for Cutting: Gold Rathian is the Wing.

Go to GameWinners. com to and see charts for all the Monsters Weakness for both Impact and Cutting if you wanna see.

Gold Rathian is slightly different from her other two subspecies. According to the melee damage formula created by Grahf and Deathslayer, the hitzone variable you use for Rathian's neck and wings is 50 for impact type damage, while it's just 40 for the head. Normal charts are nice, but numbers are more accurate. The damage formula is hosted on Gamefaqs if you are interested.

that seems right, because normally the weakest part your weapon goes through slower, but for gold and silver, it just goes straight through

It's called weapon lag. It can also be based on whats your attack power and attack.

Mmm ? It did step back. LoL. Perhaps its a tad bit faster than normal. xD

Rathian may tail flip when 1. After single fireballs 2. After triple fireballs 3. When it backsteps

No, hammer are probably the best weapon to use. Knowing that it can do alot of damage then knocking it over to do even more.
