The Beatles are my all time favorite. They were nothing short of perfect. I should hate this. But I don't. When I was in elementary school my Dad gave me all his Beatles LP's and I bragged about this every chance I got.

My guidance counselor was a fellow Beatles nut whose collection had been reduced by time, so he asked to borrow my Yellow Submarine album to make a copy of it (no MP3's in 93) and when he returned my record he also gave me a tape of this and said I would like it. And I did.

@showbizzell. This actually got me addicted to the Beatles. When it came out in 1981 I was 11 and when I heard it I loved it, thought it was one song, not a medley. Then I heard some of the separate songs and realised. And so began a love affair with the Beatles that endures to this day - my daughter is called Jude and she too is a fan.

@TheBraybeatles It is truly a special day when one discovers The Beatles. It was my first "puppy love" girlfriend (in fifth grade, so I too was about ten or eleven) and we had so much fun sitting down with my Fisher-Price turntable and my Dad's records trying to learn all the lyrics.

Naming your daughter Jude is a beautiful tribute...(and I have for years wanted to name a son Lennon if I ever have one) I did get the pleasure of turning on my nephews onto that Beatles magic...

Wrong. This is a collection of specially picked singers and session musicians. The Beatles would NEVER have allowed their voices to be sampled in this way. This is just a truly first class imitation.

@jkane1424 I think (and I may be mistaken) but the band here was called Stars on Long Play. My guidance councilor from grade school made a tape of it for me and simply wrote "Stars of 45" on it...much later in life I was able to obtain an album called "Stars on 45" and and it was this exact recording. Where the artist is usually listed on those old record labels it said "Stars on Long Play"

All Stars on 45 projects are look a like voices, but that doesn't mean that we cann't appreciate these projects, i do :)
