  • The more of this type of thing and 'discovering' SS's movies I never knew about makes me like her more and more. The last 2 of her movies I have seen are "Term of Trial" and "Games." I would recommend both of them. However, "Les Diaboliques" is still my favorite. It manages to be very eerie every I time I watch it. In fact, it's my favorite French movie of all.

    I love her smile.

RIP

  • what a goddess she was xD but there is one thing i have wonder 4 long time...she is german but how come she can speak french so well???she now remind me of diane kruger,,,german lady famous 4 bridget von hammersmark role at inglorious basterds haha xP is french n german language actually very similar with each other sound vocab wise hhmm

  • @szewei85 it s because she s not german she s french

  • @szewei85 she was born in Germany, but she grew up in France, that's why she spoke it natively. ;)

  • @thekingofmoney2000: Simone Signoret also spoke German quite fluently because from her Polish father´s side there were relativés of his mother with Austrian background.....she tells it all in her autobiography.

  • @szewei85: Simone ALSO spoke German quite well, because her father´s Jewish ancestors have Austrian ingredients, but German is of course NOT her native language. She was born in Wiesbaden in 1921, because her father worked as a translator for the French occupation army there !

  • I like her because she answers media questions with honesty regardless. She wasn't dazzled by glitz. I can forgive her for anything, because i know myself.

  • I've only seen two movies starring Simone Signoret - Les Diaboliques and Casque d'Or - and she's already my favorite actress.

  • Le Chat is my favourite Simone Signoret Movie. Wonderful piece of work.

  • She was a major talent, and a stunner too!

  • Simone has a presence that hits me to the core. Something about her face, voice, body. She's simply hynotic. A truely great actress.

  • contente de revoir Mme Simone Signoret, grande actrice française et femme extraordinaire, interviewée par Pierre Tchernia - quel bonheur de pouvoir remonter le cours du temps ..... et de réentendre des voix amies .....

  • When was this filmed? Anyone knows?

I find her face and image totally hypnotic. It's very difficult to take you eyes off her (I mean even in movies, where she is not necessarily in close-up).

And she had great legs! :)

  • 1963-64 since interviewer said that "Le jour et l'heure" was new at the time.

  • not as innocent as she would probably like you to believe......thief...........

  • double talk..............

  • Une immense actrice !!!

  • There is something in that face..that is so charming..Awesome actress..this small interview also provides great philospical insights on life..

  • wow she was just stunning in room at the top, consumed me in her character.

    just a profesional actress.

  • Just saw her in "Room at the Top," love, love, love her. What a beautiful, sensual woman! I'm definitely a fan...

  • Magnificent actress. I just saw her in Therese Raquin. What range in one performance...alluring, contemptuous, seductive, heartbroken!

  • I saw her in Madame Rosa a short while ago, on television. She was wonderful,

    she deserved all the awards.

  • thnks very much

especially with ship of fools with oscar werner

    love them

    x

  • who cares what creed she is

wat matters is that she is awesome as an actor

    n as humane as ever

    xx

  • was she married to yves montand?

  • yes, Signoret was married to Montand.

  • Do you know the date, time, total duration of this interview? How about the name and type of the show and the name of its presenter? Thank you.

  • This interview was done 12 years after Casque D'Or (see her answer at 5:33) which was produced in 1952. So this interview was done in 1964 when Signoret was 43 years old.

  • I recomend you her autobiography: La nostalgie n'est plus ce qu'elle était, beautiful book, Signoret was, not only a great actress, but a very good writer.

  • Simone wasnt French she was a German Jewess.

  • Great actress INDEED!
