this tears me up inside...can u imagine what they carry, the soldiers that care and see so much, many with compassion for innocents/children they see there while they do their job...they need our support when they return as well big time...a hard cross 2 bear and they do it 4 freedom...we need 2 pray 4 this world like never before, less, u r a special soul and i thank God 4 you dear/my sister.

I was in Vietnam in 70 and 71. People have no idea of the compassion the hardened America warrior has for the innocents. They see the devastated villages and destroyed families. I have been with the reporters and camera crews who were filming these things. It was always the warriors who were treating the civilian wounded and giving the people their own rations. Holding the crying children and trying to pull folks out of burning buildings. The reporters just took pictures.

Excellent Tribute! Both of my Grandfathers are buried in Arlington National Cemetery in Washington DC. Both were veterans of of WW2! Thank you for posting this Leslee!
