  • i have a 1984 subaru gl wagon and its my favorite car in the world!!! has 250,000 miles on it and its runing strong and smooth still with all stock nothing replaced. exept regular maintenance stuff. probally at least get another 100 out of it before it even needs work.

  • u prolly get mroe than that, man do a full engine rebuild with some quaility parts and get another 250k out of it

  • what year is this? looks just like my wagon even the same color so im guessing its a 1984 also? and i was reading ur other comments about working on the car by urself, i went and got my tires changed before by a "Profesional" but they jacked the car up in the wrong spot and broke under the doors and it started to rust there now. so i dont even let shops do my tires or anything i just bring my rims lmao.

  • yeah this is an 84, and recently we were looking into an 83 wagon with the same color actually, and yeah shops rip you off, my sister took her stealth to a so called "pro" to get a tire rotation and he put the lug nuts on too tight and about a mile down the road 2 studs pop off the rotor...

  • hey i have a 1983 subaru gl wagon it runs perfect but we stoped using it because the steering rack broke and a lot of money to fix wana buy it?

  • If you didnt live in canada i sure would

  • Looks and sounds like a rally beast for sure. Any mods underneath?

  • nah just no muffler, soon gonna put an ea82 SOHC fuel injected motor with a 5speed awd trans under it

  • Funny you said that. I had an EA82 in my old GL 4X4 wagon from 1982. It was awesome. I had the original 4-speed, but it was lifted with mini-boggers, bully-bar in the front, the third (middle) headlight from the factory, and it was ugly (aka awesome) brownish-gold.

  • nice

  • Yeah dude it was great having that beast. Unfortunate circumstances forced me to sell, but I'm looking into a GL 4X4 hatch pretty soon.

  • yeah we had a gl 4x4 hatch before, the previous owner had the replace the front wheel bearings and they didnt push them in like your supposed to, they hammered them in, so new bearings went bad after about 4k miles, its a shame really what ignorant people do when they work on a car

  • Yeah I don't even take my rigs to a shop for an oil change. I work on my cars completely by my damn self, so I know it's done right.

  • same here, never know when a shop might screw you over or something.

  • Yeah dude, they'll do what they can to make a buck.

  • Comment people!
