I didn't realize how big this painting was...until I saw this vid with you next to it. Wow....with all the detail / patience required, do your arms get tired?
Good advice rhfreelance! I use quite a bit of Liquin w/ my oils for glazing and it seems to be drying rather quickly now, but it's the under coats of thick texture that take their time. I am a fan of acrylic too....great for impatient people like me and less chemicals, but the buyer wanted an oil painting. :)
That's a very nice painting. I paint myself, but mostly in black and white. it's design work, but I enjoy it very much. Viva la plaka. I use plaka paint exclusively (there's something about the smell also).
You should show your work jaromo7. It sounds interesting. Haha..'Viva la plaka' ay? Honestly never tried that brand...might have to check 'em out. I'm a Windsor Newton girl m'self. :)
I don't know about showing my work, but about the plaka. It's a kind of paint, but the brand is Pelikan. I use Windsor Newton also with my gouache when we used it a few years back.
That's Cool Missy, My engine work is my paintings.. I enjoy seeing your work. Your Awesome! I haven't looked at the other vids yet. I figured I'd start here and catch up... Les

It's always fascinating to see an artist's work in progress. I like the background color and texture too. Glad you could take a moment to share. Thanks!
Thanks Urgelt! The background's layers upon layers of paint and glazes I'm glad it stood out to ya...btw I actually took more than a moment...I like just finished 3 more vids from the same sitting...LOL! I'm hoping to get them all on here tonight so stay tuned. Seriously I need to stop the madness!
Put a fan on it so it will dry,so we can have more videos from you.I like the color of the background a lot.I also have started painting, the house, not beautiful artwork like you,I am not talented in that regard.Keep up the good work.you bring class to Youtube.
Yeah I so put my hairdryer on it and it didn't do anything...I think w/ oil piants unfortunately it's a chemical drying process. Hey don't downplay yer skillz steelydrwu...house painting's hard work!...gee thanks about the class comment...it's still early days as far as my videoblogging goes... ;)

Nice paintings. I like the hard line, solid fill, reminds me of Illustrator digital art.
How are you finding England? I lived there all my life, now I'm in North America!
Don't bother answering, I never check comment replies, keep up the good work.
BTW, I found your link from Kobashii's video about chinks.

Wow. I love the painting. I so wish I could paint. But I can't. So instead, I throw blobs on paint on canvasses and call it art. Heh.
