this whole compilation was a let down. i'm a huge fan of L/R and the flaming lips. looking at the track list i knew it would be garbage. the only reason i picked it up was because i saw the lips were covering one of the best and loudest l/r songs. then i started thinking of slow nerve action.. then i was convinced it would be an amazing pick up, even if for just one song. unfortunately this time the lips let me down hard. i get that they tried to deconstruct it but meh...didnt work out well.

this is utter bullshit. its so obvious they tried to avoid sounding huge like the original song and to do something completely different - nothing wrong with such an approach but this is an epic fail.

sucks. the flaming lips have written a couple of good riffs but outside of that they are just turds. the secret to their success? acid. how dare they cover a real band.
