I didn't like some of the changes in this game compared to Battlestations: Midway.

Midway had a much better multiplayer mode.

@gasdfw5 i dont know about more fierce, i think that the russian front was more brutal but the way that the japanese fought this war i find disgusting, yes america did some dispicable things in this war against them also but if you have read flyboys it explains alot on how american PoWs were treated and why japan treated them that way, i enjoy a good movie/game with alot of blood and gore but there are thingsthat i just could not comprehend that people would do to eachother in the pacific.

i noticed somthin when the topedoes hit the ship. it sent out a shockwave. it doesnt do that in the finished game that we all play. y not is my question cuz that makes the impact alot more dramatic

I don't think so. Growing up in North America, of course that's the impression they would want to make on you. The vast majority of deaths took place in the east, specifically in Russia. That is where the war was the most brutal. The primary reason little is discussed about it (and little is seen in games) is probably because of the cold war that followed afterwards, and because a lot of information was kept in secrecy.

Yes, you get to control several Iowa class ships throughout the campaign. They are also playable in the multiplayer. Nothing like pounding on a poor destroyer with nine 16 inch cannons. XD

cool man, ive seen some videos whit the one of the Iowas and the yamato in combat whit eachother, is that in the campain or in the multiplayer?

but Maybe ill buy it since it has the Iowas :)

You get to play that match up in the American campaign. The Yamato isn't as tough as they make it out to be if you have your gameplan on ;) You can also have that match up on multiplayer. I'd also recommend the P-51 DLC pack. It comes with the prototype Montana class battleship, which is an Iowa class with attitude. :D

i might like this because there arent as many popular WWII Pacific Camapign games as Western/Eastern Front games..so this looks pretty cool..i mean i like flight games so this might be alright.
