I have 3 guitars at the moment, an Ibanez Destroyer (which is in this video), an Ibanez JS100 with upgraded "PAF PRO and MO' JOE" pickups and a crappy El Degas acoustic :)

I use Music Maker 14 or Cool Edit Pro 2.1 for recording and video :)

its more the 0-1 on the E string as opposed to 0-0 or 1-1

The only thing I can say for that is to remember to keep you hand and forearm relaxed! The more tension you use, the more your speed will suffer! Keep your thumb behind the neck (mine is usually directly in line with my middle finger) and that will let your hand spread wide and keep hand movments to a minimum :) and then of course just practice :) Hope that helps man, if you have any more questions don't hesitate to ask!!
