  • Keith is my hero, he says precisely what needs to be said. Too bad most of the US citizens are too quick to blame the government for everything wrong, and moronically support to wrong (big-business, Religious Right, and Tea) parties.

  • cons are retards. they want us to grovel in the streets and starve. but Obama won't legalize weed. so he don't want us to have fun either. time to overthrow the govt. and join a militia, but don't hook up with right wingers, do it in small cells.

  • Obama will not legalize weed because he doesn't want you to fry your brain. Bush burned his out on coccaine, then he claimed to find Jesus which allowed the cultural fascists known as the religious right to worship him...look at the wonderful result! He wants you to keep your brain - so you don't become a contard as well!! We don't need to overthrow the government just let Obama do what he can in hopes he occasionaly gets enough votes to piss off the obstructionist contards. Thank you.

  • Keith sucks. He is the O' Reilly of the left. They are both full of crap & mislead the American people. He used to think it was so bad when Bush labeled p[rotesters as Un-American. Now Keith labels those who oppose Obama as closet racists. WTF? Screw you Keith, you fraud. MSNBC & Fox News are both worthless.

  • When he labels people that hate Obama as racists, it's because 99% of them are racists..

  • That statement is totally worthless without something to back it up. I could sit there and state "Obama hates Middle Easterners" and I would have more of a basis for my comment you do. I would be full of crap, but I would still have more proof than you do. Don't make statements you can't prove.

  • Pitch forks and flaming torches indeed. Well done Keith

  • Robert Heinlein once wrote a short story that involved "The Year We Hanged All the Lawyers..." Beginning to sound like a good idea isn't it? That would clean out the health care system, politicians, insurance, large chunks of most businesses...

  • This guy is so full of it I can no longer watch him or listen to him. He's what he curses, a corporate hack.

  • This guy is a complete turd sandwhich.

  • keith is awesome hes the only one that tells the truth

  • H.R. 1207

  • A master peice..go keith!

  • My God, I never thought I'd hear anyone with a huge voice say something about big media. Well done, Keith. Keep it coming.

  • This is why I love Olbermann. He really gets angry and he really cares about the working class.

  • Keith and Countdown staff keep up the good work! To be persuasive we must be believable; to be believable we must be credible; credible we must be truthful!

    E.R. Murrow

  • sorry, I did a thumbs down by mistake THUMBS UP

  • I don't always agree with Olbermann but this piece is really good and dead-on correct.

  • Go Keith! You rock man!

  • This is an excellent OP/ED piece. Thank you for posting. RJ

  • Bless him. a sane voice. well done Keith.. and thank you.

  • God, I love this man!

  • Translation of Video: Republicans are Retards.

  • Translation of reality: conservatives are retards.

  • No....neither ideology is absolutely infallible.....both sides are being pushed to the masses while any true substance is pushed aside......I like keith but he is no better than hannity.....both push political agendas instead of journalism.....that is not what we need from our media

  • That's not needed, intellectual stimulation will when over petty names. Please don't sink to the level of those who find it easy.

  • Keith does write his own comments.

  • Amen, Olbermann.

  • well said keith!! this is the greatest robbery in history... guess it is time to wake up america!!

  • What a mess the US is, it is not where near as bad as under bush, but what a mess.

i suppose I should learn Mandarin, for you conservaitves that means china

  • PART-1) ... LEARN WHAT BROUGHT ON THE ECONOMY CRISIS:

BUSH was elected Nov. 2000. In Dec. 2000, the REPUBLICAN Congress rushed (Without Debate) ... Bills HR-5660 & S-3283 ... [ The Commodity Futures Modernization Act ] ... the so-called ENRON LOOPHOLE ... drafted by Enron lawyers.

These drastic Bills AMENDED Securities & Banking Laws, REMOVED Federal Regulations & Oversight and gave a free-hand to greedy entities, to REGULATE & POLICE THEMSELVES !!

  • PART-2) ... LEARN WHAT BROUGHT ON THE ECONOMY CRISIS:

This would lead to abuse & price-gouging ... Enron Downfall, Big Oils $4.00 price at the pump, Mortgage Crisis and Wall Street Financial Collapse.

All having been heavy contributors to the Republican Party electoral campaigns.

From 2000-2006, Democratic legislators introduced legislation to close the loophole, but were repeatedly blocked by Bush & the Republican Congress.

  • PART-3) ... LEARN WHAT BROUGHT ON THE ECONOMY CRISIS:

In Sept. 2007 the new DEMOCRATIC Congress trying to mitigate, overrode Bushs veto & passed HR-6124 & S-2058 finally closing the ENRON LOOPHOLE after 7 years.

But the harm was already done and it would lead to the present Economy Crisis & the need for Stimulus Packages.

  • this guy is so awesome. liberals rock!

  • yes we do!!!!! =]

  • Keith shines again! Sharing this!

  • Brilliant! Americans are and have been raped (financially taken) by bankers, multinational corporations, and government but to here it said on main stream media was a joy. Mr. Olberman should be praised and commended for speaking the truth about the true enemy of the American middle class and how they have perverted our government by changing (rewriting) and using our own laws to serves their greed, lust and hunger for power and control. Bust the Trust!!!!

  • "I am a most unhappy man. I have unwittingly ruined my country. A great industrial nation is controlled by its system of credit. Our system of credit is concentrated. The growth of the nation, therefore, and all our activities are in the hands of a few men. We have come to be one of the worst ruled, one of the most completely controlled and dominated Governments in the civilized world no longer a Government by free opinion, no longer a Government by conviction and the vote of the majority

  • He only has an hour. Get your own show and go from there.

  • freedom of the press has nothing to do with the rules on multiple ownership in markets,,,

  • I was never for any of the bailouts. These corporations should have been sent to structured bankruptcy, bonus contracts would be null and void, and assets sold off to pay for debt. Pandit got his job based on Robert Rubin's reccommendation. Robert Rubin was Clinton's Treasury secretary who orchestrated the repeal of the Glass-Steagall act. Shortly there after he went to work for Citibank. Rubin was quietly forced out in January 09 with a 9 million bonus to boot!

  • Obama's policies fascist? I didn't realize that he was the unquestioned dictator of the United States. And besides, if Obama's policies are socialist, who cares?

  • He is soooooooo right !!!

    GO Keith !!!

  • Enough!!!

  • Keith is so great, he needs to run for president next time.

  • what's funny to me is that all who cry "socialism" are defending a system that is ruled by corporations. washington is ruled by corporations through the influence of lobbyists. "corporatism should rightly be called fascism, for it is the rule by corporations." -mussolini

fox cry's "socialism" in defense of fascism...therefore, fox is a fascist network.

  • Great!!

  • One of Keith's best special comments ever. 5 stars.

  • Give 'em hell Keith. I also admire that he did not discriminate and nailed Rick Santelli and Larry Kudlow, despite them working for NBC. That takes some guts.

  • It's entirely absurd for Olbermann and others to point their fingers exclusively at big business, when government is also a proven co-conspiritor.

And just like FOX's lack of crticism of Bush, MSNBC will be equally lenient on Obama.

Can't say I've seen Olbermann get in a tizzy over Chris Dodd yet. Have you?

  • You should watch more often. He has talked about this mess. He's called out Congress as well as Cramer and Santelli. What you are saying just isn't true.

As far as Msnbc they are always knocking Obama. You should see Joe "Dead Intern" Scarborough or Pat Buchanan whine all day about Obama.

  • The Fairness doctrine was created in the 1940s to keep the US media from allowing us to turn into a fascist dictatorship. Reagan saw it as an impediment...to turning us into a fascist dictatorship so he removed it. Now 30 years later we have become just that; the Predator Class wages warfare against the rest of us while their corporations rule our airwaves, limit our access to health care and poison our food supply. ENOUGH!

  • Collusion between gov and corps has led to what we have.America has been sold off and sold out. There need to be accountability

  • What I don't understand is why we're NOT in the streets pitchforks and torches in hand? Indeed, why aren't these corporate "officers" personally responsible for their corporations losses? Indeed, THEY are the LOOSERS -- and this government keeps bailing THEM out? WTF??

  • Drag 'em all out into the street and let the rabble have their way with 'em.

  • When I have to scrimp in my own purchases because my budget doesn't allow me to buy just anything I want, I get very angry about exhorbitant corporate bonuses -- amounts that I could only dream about having struggled over a lifetime to save for retirement. And it infuriates me further that these corporate executives are being rewarded for ruining the economy!

And, thx, Keith, for mentioning corporate ownership of multiple media outlets, which only creates distorted truths & dishonest news.

  • i especially like his saying "class economic rape". how true is that! we've been feeling like that for years now. entitlements like healthcare and education are what counts! not million $ bonuses for failed policies.

  • Keith Olberman says it! ENOUGH!

    Hope Washington is listening.

  • Another great Special Comment. These points he brought up would go a long way toward making this country the best it could be, if enacted.

  • Keith Olbermann for Treasury Secretary!

  • Yep, unfortunately, we are getting to that point. Doubt it will be long now.

  • I think Mr. Olbermann is too easy on these folks. Seriously. Those who botched and profited should have those profits and other ill-gotten gains taken back for the benefit of both taxpayers and individual investors.Ironically most of those twaddle-heads are calling for tax reductions for the rich to revitalize the economy.

  • coke090909: I don't know if you meant that Olbermann was one of the people calling for tax reductions on the rich, but he's not. He's said he's willing to pay higher taxes, because the wealthiest 1% are unfairly making out like bandits.

  • "Bust the Trusts!" You got that right keith! Deregulation led to this mess. Time to re-regulate radio and television industry.
