is there a big difference if you have a medical assistant certificate vs. an associates degree ? Will employers still respect the certificate to hire you ? Ultimately I want to become a registered nurse
How dare you criticize people for wanting an honest job and making a living being a valuable member of society. Do you look down on the man who picks up your trash on the street? We have it good here in the free world, never forget this.
Exactly. It is a job for failures who want to sound like they have an important job just because it has the word "medical" in it. A medical assistant is a secretary-janitor that wears scrubs. If your ultimate career goal is to be a medical assistant than you have failed in life.
@zomven1 LOL I saw you making negative comments on another medical assistant video. Is there something wrong with you?? Did you fail out of medical assisting classes or something??? You know the most medical assistants have an associates degree right? Yeah, I know it's not as great as a bachelors, but they still go to school. I would hardly say they're glorified janitors. You don't need a degree to be a janitor.
@shawna089 No, I have a real degree from a real university, but where I'm from, "colleges" like Everest absolutely inundate the airwaves with commercials. It is non-stop on TV, radio, etc., so trashing crappy schools is a long-standing joke.
@shawna089 Actually, some janitors go to a technical school for stuff like HVAC repair, so you are right, a janitor and a medical assistant are not the same, a janitor is a better and more respectable position.
@zomven1 - I would refer to those in HVAC and who do other repair work as "maintenance" as opposed to janitor :) It's more "pc" (politically correct), too. I don't refer to jobs as 'for losers' as that it quite harsh. When I think of the term 'loser', a deadbeat father comes to mind or someone that only cares about themselves.

As long as you can dress yourself and are able to use a bathroom by yourself, you can be a medical assistant.

I don't look down on a trash collector (which is a better job than an MA), I simply laugh at them for failing in life.
