i got my itouch 4g durring christmas. it worked up until a few weeks later. it still says (to this day) that i have a wifi connection at my house, but it refuses to go onto the internet, even with apps, safari, or anything. it says i have full bars, but nothing works that requires internet.

Hey everyone, Ill let you know whats happening because I looked and im liked number one comment.

The problem is the new update 4.1.4 I think, don't get it, and if you have chance to downgrade to 3.1.3 or 3.1.4 keep it, I know it wont look as cool, but your WiFi will work agian.

ok ok ok i know what ur problem is just go to settings , then go to reset, and choose reset all content and data. This wont harm your iPod it'll just get red of your old internet data. So your safari willl be the only thing that'll change. And all your apps will still be there. Trust me this helps a lot of people.

I called my internet company and they reset my WiFi.

I had to pay 70 bucks and I was on hold for three hours, but it was all worth it, it's working fully now.

@ChainGang194 Go to the start button, click run on the sidebar. A black box should come up. Don't make any space marks or anything. Just write ipconfig press enter. Go all the way to Default Gateway and write click the # and press mark..then highlight it and press eneter. Open a tab for the internet put it in and search for something that says key 1. whatever is printed there, is your wifi password. Ohh yeahh ur username you can enter:admin and your password is password. Hope that helped [[;

the problem is that when u look at the singnal it hasethe lock sign that means that u haft to put in the password to the rouder. so the password should be on the rouder or just ask the owner of the rouder and get the password form him/her

hi if you are running ios 4.1 thats the problem the firmware Ios 4.1 update totally messed up my ipod touch. I worked great until in installed that crappy update now I can even get on any wifi network and a lot of times it says no Wifi. so if you have Ios 4.1 on it try and figure out how to downgrade to at least 4.0 and the wifi should start working again. It seems that apple is tring to competet with microsuck as the masters of crappy software.

To u all need to go to settings and reset network settings, if that doesn't do it try adjusting your network firewall it's one or the other or tour iPod intenna messed up.

Well, Make sure you have atenna pointed to what direction your going to, Its not always the system, Its Your Internet Service, If you want it fixed! Just switch to Comcast i have no problems because there great.

Guys if you need help finding your Wifi password to connect internet its usally under your router or somewhere on you router its a 10 number/letter password with [ ] on it.and example would be [186a135p00] i hope that helped.

My internet doesnt work on my iPod Touch at my house, i went over a friends and typed in the Network Key which is on his wireless router into the ipod under his connection. so if anyone has a sky router like what he has then the Network Key Code on There (8-digit key) is all that is needed. I think you should change your password type to wep - it's easyer to hack but wifi should work. I had the same problem, with same router and it helped!

Make an antenna, bottle top and a spoon, tape em together, tape aluminium foil inside (pretty much make an antenna, hang it in the room, get some metal wire and string it from the antenna to the wifi port on ur ipod touch and it boosts the signal
