  • The best thing about Dracual X is that the Intro is in german but it only came out in japan. And why german? Anyway Dracula X was great!!!

  • love the Rock Golem!

  • Love bloodlines, greatest CV song ever.

  • Too bad the dubbing isn't in english.

  • It's likely coming out in the US on Nintendo Wii's virtual console, I can't wait

  • really? I hope so.

  • yeah, hopefully for the TurboGraphix 16, it's better than the SNES version

  • it is in the psp release. I think their are some sub patches as well up for download.

  • this game is awesome! i have the psp casltevania, and unlocking this was awesome!! the remake is awesome too, but they kinda left that intro with richter, the monsters, annete..but still..great game!

  • Haha! Der Text in glasklarem Deutsch! Keine Ahnung warum, aber es klingt saucool!

  • ive got this magic engine and this rom but i cant get it to load!! what am i missing? please tell me

  • Create an 'cdimage' folder in magic engine's directory, put the image in it, then mount the aforementioned image in daemon tools (preferably by way of the .cue/.ccd file(s)).

If the game is downloaded in TOC form (Table Of Contents) such as img000, track001 etc... you'll need to create another folder for the game within the 'cdimage' folder with those files & mount it from there.

  • Thanks..I was wondering what to do after i got the rom and emulator. Cause before I get the message. "file not accessible"

  • Directory? you mean the file right?

  • Nope! Basically a directory is the list of files and/or folders you get when you open a folder. So if you where to extract magic engine to it's own folder, then opened it, that would be the emulator's directory. In turn, it's sub-directory would be the contents of any one of those folders within the directory.

  • Haha, nice, I always wondered what this one was like.

  • This game looks incredible, the gameplay looks much more refined than the SNES Dracula X. Aside from the first stage music, I prefer SNES Dracula X music. Every other aspect in this game is superior, great animation and graphics. Thanks for uploading this, i'm officially convinced.

  • Hey, some of the backgrounds in Stage 1 look familar... THOSE BG'S ARE FROM SIMON'S QUEST! Maybe the developers wanted to have a nod to Simon's Quest...

  • Well at least the Dracula fight in the SNES is much harder were you have to jump from spot to spot to actually hit Dracula. Were on this one you have a lot of space to fight with

  • Warum spricht er denn deutsch? Dracula kommt aus Rumämien

  • You're good, no damage? Wow, love it.

  • Actually,Dracula X was released outside japan,in the SNES version titled Dracula XX in Japan, but that game was complety changed, theres was another scenes and was shorter.but this version (PC ENGINE) is better.

  • The SNES still has some good points, the sound effects and the graphics of some stages are better. Still, something's missing from its predecessor.

  • The heart and the feel, that what it is missing. That, and the ablity to play as two different characters.

  • Ah...I get it now...THIS is the actual prequel to SOTN. NOW the story makes a bit of sense. BTW where'd you manage to get this? I'd like to give this game a try. x3
