It seems to me that countries constructing nuclear facilities do not have to inform IAEA of the facilities until the facilities are at least 6 months from operation. Countries don't have to contact the IAEA when they build the foundation, plumbing and electrical systems; the only requirement according to my understanding, is to inform the IAEA SIX MONTHS before the facility comes into operation. Apparently the operation will begin in about TWELVE MONTHS according to Iran, like, they're early !

It seems to me that countries constructing nuclear facilities do not have to inform IAEA of the facilities until the facilities are at least 6 months from operation. Countries don't have to contact the IAEA when they build the foundation, plumbing and electrical systems; the only requirement according to my understanding, is to inform the IAEA SIX MONTHS before the facility comes into operation. Apparently the operation will begin in about TWELVE MONTHS according to Iran, like, they're early !

Well, the US should probably be more consistent as to how it will address world issues. They have been picking and choosing and in most cases they made the wrong choices. Obama seems to be trying to address issues in a more responsible and ethical manner. Give him a chance, he will bring the US back as a respected world leader. Respected by its people and by the people of the world; well, most of the world at least.

While I agree that zodeloni up there was clearly being racist and reacting emotionally, I also believe it's important to be able to criticize Israel without being dubbed anti-Semitic. After all, the Arabs are a Semitic people too... In reality, Israel doesn't have much to fear from Iran getting its hands on nuclear weaponry. Iran wants nuclear weapons so they can get respect from the intern'l community--not so that they can get their own citizens (and surrounding peoples) slaughtered.

the mad treaty worked well for the soviets and the u.s - iran having nukes just means that the us would have to adopt a similar treaty but the downside to this is that the us will no longer have the last say in the middle east, an oil rich region of the world... the way i see it, if one country has a right to nukes, then all countries should but of course i wish did have or would build any.. theyre ugly even for weapons

i disagree.. iran with nukes would not mean ww3 because if iran did have nukes there would be even more reason not to go to war with it and more reason for the u.s. to reach a diplomatic solution with em... that doesnt mean they gotta hold hands and kiss but just agree on how to maintain stability without either losing face (same deal with the soviets) - and that being said, im not saying iran should develop nukes but unfortunately thats just the way the world is... might is right

ur concern is that if iran builds nukes, it will launch a first strike but even if did build nukes, israel alone has several hundred nukes which alone would be plenty for a retaliatory strike that would devestate iran!!! and as though that wasn't enough... the u.s. has a nuclear stockpile that would level iran! iran would never launch some sort of preemptive nuclear strike cause if it ever did it knows its history. iran does need nuclear energy. this was known by the u.s in the days of the shah.

Ahmadinejad has little power. Unlike Israel, he isnt out killing off his neighbors on a daily basis. Furthermore there is not a shred of evidence suggesting the Iranians have or are currently seeking nuclear weapons.
